One Million ‘Thumbs Up’ to Visit Myrtle Beach

The Myrtle Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has surpassed 1 million “likes” on its official consumer Facebook page, Visit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It is the first U.S. beach destination to achieve this distinction. To celebrate, Myrtle Beach kicks off a year of appreciation today to recognize the individuals that helped reach this impressive milestone: its fans. Once-in-a-lifetime trips and treasured memories are the focus of the celebration that encourages fans to register to win various giveaways.

The celebration will begin with the Million Dollar Beach House Vacation Getaway which allows fans to enter to win a dream vacation: a week-long stay in a million dollar beach house along the pristine Myrtle Beach coastline. Fans will submit entries through the Visit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Facebook page now through Aug. 30, 2013. Then, one lucky winner will be chosen to experience this fun-filled trip.

The Million Dollar Beach House Vacation Getaway is not the only prize the CVB will be giving away to its loyal fans. The CVB also plans on announcing another promotion honoring our military service personnel and their families. Fans are encouraged to look for more details later this fall.

In addition to these two signature promotions, the CVB will conduct monthly trip giveaways through a campaign that encourages fans to take a trip down memory lane. Whether it is a treasured childhood memory or hitting a hole-in-one at an area golf course, fans will be asked to share their stories throughout the year for chances to win monthly trips and prizes.
