The videos included are:

  • Shrek the Halls (2007) - The story takes place after Shrek 3 and before Shrek Forever After, while Shrek and Fiona's three children are infants. Shrek promises Fiona a special Christmas surprise, but as usual, Donkey gets involved, and chaos ensues in Shrek's first family Christmas.
  • Merry Madagascar (2009) - The story takes place between Madagascar and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. Alex, Marty, Melman, and Gloria try to escape from Africa and return to the zoo in New York in a hot air balloon. In an unlikely turn of events, Alex unintentionally shoots down Santa Claus while he's delivering Christmas gifts. The would-be escapees come up with a plan to deliver Santa's gifts and get themselves back to New York.
  • Gift of the Night Fury (2011) - Based on How to Train Your Dragon, the short takes place in the middle of preparing for the Viking winter holiday. Hiccup and the other Vikings of Berk make a remarkable discovery about their dragons.
  • Kung Fu Panda Holiday (2010) - Master Shifu assigns Po to host the annual Winter Feast at the Jade Palace, a very formal occasion where all the Kung Fu masters of China attend. Po needs his father to help cook, but dad has to run the family restaurant that night. Will Po lose face, or will things somehow turn out all right?

My Take on the DVD Set
This is a great DVD set just in time for the holidays. While some of these will be on television this fall, I love having them all together to start my own tradition of watching them along with some of the other classic Christmas shows that we typically watch together as a family. The collection of these were great and for my girls, they particularly loved Shrek the Halls and Gift of the Night Fury, but the other two were also a lot of fun too. All-in-all this was a great DVD set that I know my family and I will continue to pull out far into the future and your family will too!
