Movie Review - Lincoln

About the Movie
Steven Spielberg directs two-time Academy Award® winner Daniel Day-Lewis in “Lincoln,” a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come. (DREAMWORKS PICTURES) This film is rated PG-13.

My Take on the Movie
After viewing Steven Spielberg’s new movie “Lincoln”, one walks away with the feeling that they went back in time to witness the history of the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution.

Daniel Day-Lewis was incredible in his portrayal of Abraham Lincoln, he should be nominated for an Academy Award for this role. Sally Fields and Tommy Lee Jones were excellent in their supporting roles in the movie.

The period costume and set designs were very detailed and well done. The film was shot in such a way that made you feel it was actually filmed back in the time of Lincoln…there was just an old look to it.

Beautiful movie!
