Book Review - Max Spaniel: Best in Show

About the Book
Come to the funniest dog show ever in the next Max Spaniel adventure: BEST IN SHOW!

David Catrow's lovable spaniel is back, and this time he enters a dog show. Max competes in a diving contest, a barking contest, and a talent contest. Will he be best in show?

Readers will laugh out loud as Max outperforms all the other contestants. In the end, all the dogs are best in show, and they put on their own performance for the audience.

My Take on the Book
David's main character Max is based on his dog Bubbs. As you read this delightful book you wonder how Bubbs fits into the character of Max. Max believes he is a human and a star. He believes he is a human and throughout the entire book he acts in a human manner.

Max watches movies, dives for sunken treasure, acts out his emotions that you can see on his facial expressions throughout the entire book. Instead of barking or woofing he shows he can quack like a duck and roar like a lion.

Max has friends who admire his abilities but are totally dogs in every way.

Your child will enjoy this funny story and David's whimsical illustrations add to the delight of the text.
