Book Review - The Adventures Of Little Mouse: Life Outside The Mouse Hole

About the Book
It may be modern times, but families still need their quality time.

In her new children’s book The Adventures of Little Mouse, author Sherri Williams demonstrates the importance of family in a story about choices and consequences. She uses 12 color-illustrated stories about confronting decisions to show children how to make good choices.

“The hope is children can make good decisions on small choices so the pattern will be carried into adulthood when faced with larger life decisions,” said Williams. “The book is a fun way for parents to spend time with their children while teaching them this.”

The stories, inspired by hardships William’s daughter faced, can be used to create a quilt based on each of Little Mouse’s adventures. The quilt kit or completed quilt, sold online, offers a unique, productive way for families to spend time together.

“With quilting, you are creating a treasure others can enjoy,” said Williams. “You remember who made it and what the design represents.”

Part of the book’s proceeds will benefit third-world orphanages.

My Take on the Book
Each of the stories within this book, 12 in all are wonderfully written and really share such important messages to children today about life, parents letting go, bravery and so much more. The book is well written and you are introduced to characters that you will not soon forget. On top of this the book is beautifully illustrated and you end up feeling like you are right there with Little Mouse in his home or getting ready to head off on an adventure through the images that are shared. All-in-all the author did a wonderful job at putting together a great book for children that will stand the test of time!
