Learn about great leaders like Charlemagne and George Washington and bold ones like Caesar and William the Conqueror. Superstars of History will feature fun text, loads of facts, and Basher's cool illustrations to bring history's greatest characters to life for 8 to12 year olds.
My Take on the Book
This book is appropriate for middle grade readers. The text is fun to read and full of facts and illustrations. It is a nonfiction book.
The table of contents divides the book into ancient world, middle ages, and Renaissance, Revolution, and the modern era. Your child will learn about Aristotle , the time period he lived in, and even some of the mistakes he made. Joan of Arc is another entry and it tells of her execution. The main reason she was executed was because she dressed as a man and her enemies, the English, feared her powers. Another famous woman was listed and she was Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Elizabeth campaigned for the right for women to vote. She certainly helped all women today with her perseverance. So much to learn. As an adult you will find this an interesting book too.
