Book Review - Richard Scarry's Lowly Worm's Applecar
About the Book
Lowly Worm needs to get a load of apples to Huckle's apple-bobbing party. Kids can follow Lowly on a crazy applecar adventure and lift the flaps to see how he gets through the streets of Busytown, across the freeway, and through the mountains to make his delivery. On each page, children will find big, easy-to-spot flaps that are designed especially for small hands to grasp and lift. They'll love revealing the funny surprises underneath!
My Take on the Book
Children love lift the flap books. The added plus is that this is a Richard Scarry book which always include wonderful illustrations and a delightful story. This board book is designed for a young child. The story's main character is Lowly Worm. He fills his apple trailer with apples but along the way has some challenges and arrives at the party minus the apples. There is a happy ending to the story. The flaps your child lifts as you read extend the story beautifully and make it more fun too.
