A Rock ‘n’ Roll Santa Claus and His Jubilant “Elf Posse” Band
Donate $10,000 to L.A.-Based Music Education Programs
Kicking Off CityWalk’s CityRockin’ Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
WHAT: A guitar-wielding Santa Claus, his “Elf-Posse” band and a band of students from area non-profit music educational programs, rock the Universal CityWalk stage and help illuminate a giant 40’ CityRockin’ Christmas tree to jumpstart the festive holiday season at L.A.’s premier free live music venue.
Arriving in style via a giant sleigh, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Santa Clause will present the schools with a $10,000 donation of new musical instruments in support of CityWalk’s “Plugged In” music appreciation and free concert series.
The giant 40’ CityRockin’ tree, sprinkled with 100,000 energy efficient LED lights and animated to a dazzling display of choreographed music amid a flurry of falling snow will light up the heart of CityWalk. The event marks the beginning of a month-long seasonal gala featuring non-stop, “Always Unexpected” holiday entertainment, designed to immerse guests in 35-days of holiday-themed performances, including jubilant choirs, live bands performing remixed seasonal classics and eclectic street performers.
