Family & Parenting Expert Troy Dunn from WeTV's The Locator

Based on the popular WE tv show, THE LOCATOR, Troy Dunn has authored his latest book, It’s Never Too Late: Lessons for Life from The Locator which hits shelves on Tuesday, November 9, 2010.  It’s Never Too Late, created in partnership with WE tv, is a return to his most deeply moving cases, enveloped in emotional, usable life lessons all based on Troy’s own experiences.

As The Locator, Troy Dunn has had a significant impact on the thousands of family members and loved ones he has reunited over the past 20 years.  It’s Never Too Late points to cases Troy felt had the best or most interesting impact, and focuses the reader on building, repairing or maintaining the most important relationships in their own life.  Troy teaches everyone to dig deeper, and dispels what he believes are common myths, including chapters like: “Time Doesn’t Heal All Wounds,” “Timing Isn’t Everything,” and his personal motto, “You Can’t Find the Peace until You Find All the Pieces” and more.

In It’s Never Too Late, we meet: a 61-year-old mother who waited a lifetime before being reunited with the daughter she had given up when she was 19; a mother and son looking for his half-brother, who she gave up when she was 20; and an 18-year-old girl looking to reunite with her father after 13 years of separation.  From all of these stories, plus many more, Troy gives us a profound look at the value of creating and preserving special relationships, while presenting usable advice each reader can act upon in their own lives.

“I wanted to bring together some of my most moving experiences, sharing with readers that it truly is never too late to take action and rebuild relationships,” said Dunn.  “I never thought I could be so lucky as to find my life’s work in THE LOCATOR, but having been through this same experience personally, I know the healing power a reunion can have.”

"WE tv’s ground-breaking series THE LOCATOR has brought television audiences into one of the most intimate events in a person’s life,” said Jennifer Robertson, SVP Digital Media and Business Development.  “These compelling reunions have touched the hearts of viewers across the country.  Having Troy Dunn reveal first-hand the lessons he’s derived from them, is one we thought would resonate deeply with readers.  He has a remarkable gift of being able to affect the lives of thousands in a meaningful way, and we welcomed the chance to create a book that opens that up to more people."

THE LOCATOR, returns to WE tv with a special one-hour episode to kick off its 5th season, Saturday, November 6th at 10pm ET.  There, Troy will continue his 20-year personal mission to reunite “half the world with the other half,” granting wishes to people wanting to reconnect with loved ones.  As one of the network's highest rated series, THE LOCATOR continues to attract a loyal base of fans as well as new viewers.
