About the Author
Prior to the "Fifties Chix" series, Larsen created, authored and illustrated “Petalwink,” a seven-book series directed at girls ages 3 to 8. The books, while using creativity and imagination, provide readers with exciting adventures, character education and encouragement to girls to believe in themselves. Many schools, libraries and homes throughout the country have books from the “Petalwink” series.

My Take on the Book
A Fun and engaging story that while geared toward young girls, is still fun for all to read. I loved how the author took the past and merged it into the future and allowed her characters to struggle in a world so different than their own. What I also liked was that the story tied in important concepts such as friendship and trust and built a strong bond between the characters for the readers to enjoy.
A good book and I can tell that young girls will definitely enjoy this book and the rest of the series!
