Book Review - For Love & Liberty

About the Book
In his provocative, page-turning saga, For Love & Liberty, Stephen M. Grimble skillfully interweaves early American history with a poignant love story. He pays homage to the Founding Fathers’ sacred trust – to secure the blessings of liberty to posterity – through the actions of six distinguished citizens who, out of concern for America’s future, form the Madison Committee, named for the Father of the Constitution, James Madison.

Grimble captures the spirit of the American Revolution and re-thinks the modern function of the American Constitution and Bill of Rights, combining both historical and futuristic perspectives in For Love and Liberty. He was first inspired to write after reflecting on the financial trouble of the U.S., believing it was time for a renewed awakening to the original constitutional principles and securing the promises of the Founding Fathers for future generations.

My Take on the Book
The book is full of so many historical relevant topics, from the U.S. Constitution to the Civil War and so much more. Though the book is fiction, you feel like you are reading history. What I loved about this book was the fact that you get a first glimpse of the United States through the eyes of six characters and each of these characters provide a differing glimpse into the United States. The book was refreshing and made me open my eyes to how I view my own country.
