About the Author
Hallie Durand is the author of Dessert First and Just Desserts, both illustrated by Christine Davenier. She lives in Maplewood, New Jersey.
Tony Fucile is the author-illustrator of Let’s Do Nothing!, a School Library Journal Best Book of the Year, as well as the illustrator of Bink & Gollie by Kate DiCamillo and Alison McGhee. He has spent more than twenty years designing and animating characters for numerous feature films, including The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles. He lives in the San Francisco Bay area.
My Take on the Book
This was a fun, cute, heart-warming book that had my four year old grinning from ear to ear. I even found myself laughing throughout the book! This book brings back so many memories of me becoming a vehicle for my kids. Talk about having a license, my girls would direct me like the best of them, just like you see from Mitchell. This is definitely a story that any parent will relate to and will enjoy and that any child will simply love due to the well written nature of the book, but also the crazy antics of the characters themselves. All-in-all this book shows the love between a father and child which is priceless!
