About the Book
An internationally renowned poet and children's author uses understanding and lighthearted humor to help youngsters cope with difficult emotions in the new Dinosaurs Have Feelings book series. In Jayden Jealousaurus, Jayden the dinosaur is jealous of everything, from his friend's toys to this cousin's vacations. Children can follow along as Jayden learns to appreciate his own unique skills and possessions to keep his jealously under control. Includes notes for parents and teachers and a listing of other resources to help children cope with their emotions. Ideal for individual reading or sharing with a group.

My Take on the Book
This was a very cute book that explores an important topic that all kids need to explore, jealousy and their emotions surrounding this. I know as a part of two that jealously appears sometimes in the most unforeseen places, but it does show up, and we deal with it as it does. Yet in saying this, this book really does a great job at talking about this emotion in a way that kids can understand and allows a dialogue to commence between child and parent about the emotion itself and what it means to them. This was a great book that I plan to share with my daughters' teachers soon as I think all of her classmates will learn from this too!
