About the Book
Pocket Activity Fun and Games books are miniature versions of the titles in Barron's larger-format Creativity Books. The smaller size is perfect for keeping kids busy on trips when space is at a premium. Parents can simply stow a bunch of these little books in a bag and go! Features include:

  • Pages to color
  • Puzzles and mazes to solve
  • Stickers for decorating fold-out illustrations
  • Projects to construct
  • Games to play

Like their larger counterparts, each title in Barron's Pocket Activity Fun and Games series has a distinctive theme to capture the imaginations of boys and girls and illustrations on virtually every page. In Art Pocket Activity Fun and Games, kids can learn to draw a human face, change the expression on the Mona Lisa, color Van Gogh's Sunflowers, and more!

My Take on the Book
This little book is packed with hours of activities for an older child. When the book arrived and I read through it, I thought of my third grade daughter. She reads well independently and the book would be a good avenue for her imagination and creativity.

The book contains drawing activities, information about famous artists and an example of their work, activities that encourage the child to use their imagination, coloring pages, pages with stickers for the various activities , and more. The only materials your child will need are a pencil, markers or crayons, scissors, and glue.

If you have a child in your life who enjoys being creative, I believe this book would be a nice addition to their repertoire of meaningful activities.
