About the Book
Written by spiritual author Norma-Jean Strickland, BITE-SIZED PRAYERS: Non-Denominational Morsels to Feed Your Soul combines magnificent full-color photographs taken by the author with one-word poems to simplify the complex nature of human emotions that accompany a desire to understand the deeper mysteries of life.
The book’s simplistic nature paired with vivid photographs to accompany each prayer makes it an ideal teaching tool for parents interested in introducing prayer to their children. The one word prayers break down the complexities found in long verses and prayers, which make it easier for children to reflect and understand what exactly they are saying.
Strickland created the book BITE-SIZED PRAYERS: Non-Denominational Morsels to Feed Your Soul to take the mystery out of prayer as she guides children and parents to the realization that prayer doesn’t have to be complicated in order to be effective; it just has to come from the heart.
My Take on the Book
Filled with beautiful pictures, this book takes on a unique view of what a prayer is and allows you to introduce prayer to anyone is a very simple way that anyone can appreciate. Using simple words, with the first letter of each being a part of the prayer, you can actually memorize the prayers simply while still having them mean a lot. If you are looking for a book that will open your mind to prayer on a daily basis, this is definitely the one to go with, and if you have a young child, this also provides them with the perfect way to get to know the power of prayer!
