Product Review - Sunbow Sunscreen

About the Product
Sunbow announces the launch of a unique, kid-friendly product line that brings fun to the sun care market.  Just in time for summer, Sunbow will hit shelves nationwide to make sunscreen application hassle free and protect children of all ages, promising to be embraced by parents and children alike across the country.  This innovative company also introduces a new website (sunbowsunscreen.com) to offer parents a resource for sun protection, anytime and anywhere.

Sunbow was born from a father’s desire to keep his daughter cheerful when applying sunscreen.  Featuring proprietary formulas with natural ingredients, this new collection takes sun care to new heights as it allows children to enjoy outdoor activities as well as the prep for them.  Animated characters from Nickelodeon’s popular series Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants grace the front of the Sunbow sprays, tubes and sun sticks, to get children excited about the application process.  Offering a vibrant pink and sky blue shade, Dora the Explorer is accompanied by her cousin Diego and welcomes children to join them on their journey.  Kids can also travel under the sea and lather up with a bright yellow hue reminiscent of the one and only SpongeBob SquarePants

Parents can find comfort in the fact that Sunbow delivers an all natural product specifically formulated for children’s gentle skin.  The superior product line offers seven sku’s formulated with micronized Zinc Oxide formulas to provide a strong UVA/UVB barrier, without the chemical actives such as Oxybenzone or Octinoxate found in many other brands.  Though Sunbow Sunscreen goes on a color, it’s guaranteed to dry clear so kids can be sure not to miss a spot.  The collection includes:

My Take on the Product
In trying out these products, I found them to be easy to use and that they covered the kids well. I especially liked the Sun Stick for use on the face as it simply rolled on and made getting into curved places around the nose and on the forehead a snap. The only issue that I had was in the fact that the product did tend to be a little more oily that some other sunscreen products. This was not a problem overall, just an observation.

The kids loved the smell (bubble gum) as well as the characters that were on the products as well.

Overall, some great products that will cover your children well this summer!
