About the Series
Shawn Wayans (In Living Color, Scary Movie, White Chicks) and Marlon Wayans (Scary Movie, In Living Color, White Chicks, The Ladykillers) — real-life brothers and members of the prolific Wayans family —star in this hilarious and physical comedy series as Shawn and Marlon Williams, two very different brothers who live together in New York City while searching for success. As the series begins, Shawn wants to be promoted from delivery man to dispatcher to impress his girlfriend, Lisa (Lela Rochon – Waiting to Exhale, Any Given Sunday). Marlon works in the diner operated by his and Shawn’s father, Pops (John Witherspoon – Friday, The Tracy Morgan Show, Boomerang, The Boondocks). The two brothers often get into trouble with their moneymaking schemes — but it’s always entertaining to watch! The series also features numerous notable guest stars.

 
My Take on the Series

The Wayans Bros.: The Complete Series is pure comedy gold! I grew up watching reruns, so having the entire collection to watch whenever I want is a dream. Shawn and Marlon’s chemistry is unbeatable, and their antics never fail to crack me up. Marlon’s over-the-top energy mixed with Shawn’s smooth, straight-man act makes for the perfect balance.

John Witherspoon as Pops is hilarious—his one-liners alone are worth watching! The only downside is the lack of bonus features, but the episodes themselves make up for it. If you love classic ‘90s sitcoms, this set is a must-have for your collection!

My Take on the Series

Season two of The Gilded Age continues to captivate with its rich portrayal of late 19th-century American society, blending history and drama in a visually stunning series. Beginning in Easter 1883, the show explores the ongoing clash between old and new money, with Bertha Russell determined to break into the exclusive high society despite the resistance of Mrs. Astor and her circle. My Take on the Series
This is an amazing series with the wit and humor or Larry David. If you have never watched it, you will find yourself laughing throughout the series, and if you have, you will find this set to be one that will let you go back and relive the entire series in it's full glory. As someone that has loved the series, I was glad to find this full set available, as I wanted to be able to access the episodes whenever I wanted them, and now I can. Get ready to laugh and true love the humor and fun that is Curb your Enthusiasm with this great set!

My Take on the Blu-ray
I was a fan of Kate Kane in season one but in season two I am even more drawn in by the acting, the characters and more. Each episode, while dark, as any Bat story tends to be, you will see a glimmer that brings you back each week. The episodes are action-packed, you get drama, mystique and more. I have enjoyed seeing Javicia Leslie embodying the Batwoman role and seeing her develop into the role. No person taking on the cowl will be able to fill a past Batperson's shoes right away. This is why they have a great team which we see in this series. You also see the humanity that this season's Batwoman has and that she is not fallible which makes her relatable. All-in0all, this was a great season and I am looking forward to season three!

My Take on the DVD
This is an amazing set for anyone that is a Gravity Falls fan. This will give you the entire series so you can get a chance to see everything. My daughter and I had just started to watch this series before we got this and now we had the chance to see even more. This summer we had more time to binge watch this and I can tell you that the more we saw the more that we loved the characters and the plot of the entire series. 

The great thing about this set is that you get everything that you need to continue being a superfan of this funny, unique series that will keep you coming back for more.

Whether you are a fan already or not this series is so much fun and this set is definitely worth the cost as you get ALL 40 episodes of the series!

This is a series that keeps on giving. As someone that watches this, I can tell you that every episode draws you in with the characters, the drama and more. The actors truly embody characters that you will want to know and you will continue to hope that Elizabeth and Jack will get married and that Abigail will be able to run the town of Hope Valley with grace, and leadership. On top of this you get some action and surprises along the way as well and in season four this is no different. This is a great season and you will truly get drawn into the whole season, I know that my wife and I were!

My Take on the series
Oh my gosh, I am so happy that Shout Factory had the ability to put together this whole series. I was a fan when I was younger and still am one now too. This series is so funny and even watching today, the humor continues to crack me up! This is a HUGE set with 170 episodes so if you are a fan get ready to laugh and have a great time as you to through this series of 6 DVD's. The recordings are great and you will love the acting of Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor, I know I did and still do to this day! I also would be remiss to forget Mr. Haney who always brought me into hysterics as well. This series is a perfect gift for any fan of this memorable series!

DVD Review - Digimon Tamers Volume 2

About the DVD
In DIGIMON TAMERS VOLUME 2, the adventures continue with episodes 18-34 of Digimon Season 3! Takato, Henry and Rika, three normal kids who are mega fans of the Digimon card game, quest through the Digital World, which is plagued by wicked Digimon Gods. My Take on the DVD 
Get ready to experience a whole new world in this great collection of episodes in this series. Whether you are a Digimon fan or not you will still enjoy watching this series. The art was strong and the writing solid. Even if you missed the first season you can still catch up with this DVD and there is a lot to catch up on! These characters are doing a bit of everything throughout all of the episodes and this non-going action makes it even more exciting to watch and experience. All-in-all this was a strong character

This is a great collection of Magic School Bus episodes. My girls love learning from Ms. Frizzle and as a parent I like what she teaches too. Each episode teaches something new and interesting to the viewer and the DVD is made to be watched together as a family. That being said this was well made and quite extended. You will get a lot of screen time and learning from watching this!

DVD Review - Slam Dunk: Season 1, Vol. 1

About the DVD
Hanamichi Sakuragi is a high school punk who hates basketball, mostly because the girls he likes always prefer basketball players to him. Things change, however, when he meets the cute and available Haruko Akagi. She loves basketball and thinks Hanamichi has the height and prowess to play. Hanamichi, quite willing to settle for collateral affection, immediately takes up the sport, never mind the fact that he doesn’t know the rules, cannot dribble and is constitutionally unsuited to teamwork and sportsmanship. If playing basketball will get Haruko to look at him then he’ll be a basketball star! However, a weird thing happens to Hanamichi while struggling to make the team and play the game: he kind of starts to like it! And what’s more, he’s getting good.



My Take on the DVD
I had never heard of this series before, but I am always game for a new cartoon so I tried it out. For anyone that likes basketball, this is a series that will keep you going. It is filled with action and a pretty solid plot line too. I liked that the main character has to work to get good at the spot and shows the viewer that it does not come naturally to him. The message behind this is strong and is something that any parent would want their aspiring athlete to hear. Working hard pays off!

My Take on the Series
For anyone who loved this series, you have been anxiously awaiting this to come out for some time and now it is here. Cinedigm did a great job at putting this series back together for all fans and you set the whole first season all in one place which was awesome!  This series has always been a favorite one of mine and I was definitely excited to watch it all again. Cinedigm did a great job at putting this all together and you will appreciate the artistry and overall story if you have never watched this before and you are a Yu-Gi-Oh fan.

DVD Review - Strawberry Shortcake Snowberry Days

My Take on the DVD
You all know that I am a father of two girls and yes, my girls like Strawberry Shortcake, so whenever I get the opportunity to get a new movie with her, and her friends in it, they are ecstatic. That being said, this is a fun DVD that again brings forth Strawberry Shortcake and the whole gang on a whole new adventure. As a parent, one of the things that I love about this series of shows is the messages that they share with kids, especially about friendship, teamwork, sportsmanship and more. The DVD was well made and the illustration was pristine. Any fan of Strawberry Shortcake will love this DVD, and even those that may not know much of the series, will also find it light and fun. So take some time today to just let loose and let go and hang out with Strawberry Shortcake and her friends!

DVD Review - Ice Cold Gold Season 1

About the DVD
Every summer, the curtain of ice covering Greenland is pulled back, revealing the potential for untold riches in the rock below. Enter eight ragtag prospectors, pooling their resources to touch the untouched in hopes of uncovering the gold and precious gems that lie beneath the surface. In the beginning spirits are high, but nature is a harsh opponent, throwing rockslides and avalanches into the already risky business. Disappointing hardships and startling discoveries await at every turn, and the distance from home eventually takes its toll. Physically and mentally drained, will these men and the families they leave behind survive the risks and responsibilities required to strike it rich? And in the end, will the men return with the Ice Cold Gold?



My Take on the DVD
I did not know what to expect in this series, but as I started watching this I found myself really drawn into the series. I had never heard about these guys or what they did to find the minerals and deposits that were left behind each spring. What these guys did was dangerous and to be honest, I found that definitely could never see myself doing a job like this at all, even though the potential reward was HUGE.

I thought that I would only watch one episode, but I came to find myself drawn in deeper and deeper as I watched more.

This was an interesting and intriguing series that I look forward to watching more of in the future!

DVD Review - Jake and the Neverland Pirates: Battle for the Book

About the DVD
When Wendy’s special Storybook is stolen by Captain Hook, Jake and his mates go to London to help Peter Pan’s friend (from the classic movie Peter Pan). The longer the book is out of Wendy’s hands, the more she and her brothers (John and Michael) forget about their past adventures on Never Land. The battle for the book continues in Never Land, where Hook plans to destroy the book and its stories in the legendary Ring of Blue Fire. It’s up to our young heroes to save Wendy’s Storybook and the Story of Peter Pan!





My Take on the DVD
This was a fun DVD filled with great characters as well as well as great story too. My daughter and I loved watching this and seeing Jake and his friends battle to save the storybook and help Wendy and her brother remember their story. This was a great new story for Jake and his friends, anyone that loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates, will love this DVD!

My Take on the DVD
My daughters and I have been a fan of Mythbusters for some time and this DVD set is an amazing collection of episodes for any fan. This had 50 episodes so I am only part of the way through the DVD itself, but so far I am VERY impressed with the collection itself. One of the things that I love about this series is that it shows myself and my girls the truth about some of the myths that perpetuate in our society today. My eldest daughter loves this series as it really opens her eyes to the world around her and I love seeing her so intrigued and interested as she is watching each of these episodes. All-in-all this is a great DVD set that will keep you questioning and guessing with every myth that may come your way!
