About the Book
Presented in a user-friendly style like the bestselling books Women of the Bible and Men of the Bible with over 700,000 thousand in print, this devotional gives readers an overview of couples all the way from Adam and Eve to Christ and his Bride, the Church.

Like its bestselling predecessors, Women of the Bible and Men of the Bible-with over 700,000 copies in print-Couples of the Bible promises to be a fascinating devotional guide for couples of every age. This book draws readers into the lives of biblical couples who offer great wisdom for right now.

Through this 52-week devotional experience, readers will discover that Abraham and Sarah, Jacob and Rachel, Samson & Delilah, Ruth and Boaz, Job and and his wife and Joseph and Mary had hopes and struggles just like those that couples have today-and that God can use their marriage powerfully in His redemptive work.

Couples of the Bible can be used by individuals, by couples alone or in a small-group setting. Arranged in chronological order-providing a unique overview of the entire Bible-this year-long guide will deepen readers' understanding of biblical truths even as it strengthens an understanding of their part in God's love story.

My Take on the Book
This book opened my eyes to so much more detail on the couples of the Bible. I have read about them while reading the Bible itself, but this is the first book that I have seen that has really examined these couples in depth, laying them out in front of you. Seeing that this is a devotional, the book is laid out in a unique way to allow you to be able to truly reflect on each of the couples on a daily basis. You are given different tasks on each day (Monday-Friday) to better know and understand their sacrifices and commitment to God. For myself, I really liked the prayers that were provided on Fridays, but that was just me. All of the information provided pulled so much information together that in some cases are spread out in the chapters of the Bible itself, so it was a great read, and one that I believe that you will learn from too!
