Dad of Divas' Reviews: Facebook Ecommerce Data

Monday, March 7, 2011

Facebook Ecommerce Data is in the process of unveiling some very interesting data regarding the growth of ecommerce on Facebook (now known as f-commerce). As you are well aware, Facebook and ecommerce have grown tremendously in the past couple of years. Using its Store Application, SortPrice has bridged the gap between Facebook and the ecommerce industry by developing over 1,500 Facebook Stores, more than anyone in the industry.

Here's a brief snapshot of some of the data we've compiled on the use of our Store Application last year, coinciding with a broader, e-commerce industry-wide expansion into social networking. As you can see, SortPrice is clearly on the leading edge of that expansion.

  • $3.8 billion worth of merchandise was posted using's Store Application for Facebook in 2010
  • 1,500+ retailers, including Fortune 500 companies, use storefronts to post their products (full catalogs)
  • 7.6 million products in 53,000 categories were posted using's Store App. in 2010, 60 percent more products than in 2009

Some of our other retailers include the Dallas Mavericks (NBA team), Sharper Image, Adobe - Students, and Tigerdirect.
