My Take on the Book
This story was written on a third grade reading level. The author provided vast amounts of information in the text and a time line was included at the end of the book. The illustrator, Gerald Kelley, included excellent drawings which beautifully accompanied the text.

This is an excellent nonfiction book for children. It certainly illustrates why Benjamin Franklin is well known and respected in our country . He was not only a great inventor at the young age of eleven and in to his later years, but he was was also a valued American who assisted in the journey of independence for the United States of America.

I believe you and your child will thoroughly enjoy reading this book.
