My Take on the BookThe program for whole living that is written in this book is actually in response to Pamela's survival from having cancer in her early 20's.

She found through focusing on one's mental health, eating a well balanced diet, exercising, and renewing one's body through sleep, meditation ,and positive thinking, one can lead a healthy lifestyle.

Let me give more examples from the book which is full of quotes and ideas, recipes , examples of yoga and stretching exercises, etc. It is not a book you will just read and put down. I see it as a book that will be a resource to return to time and time again.

The book begins speaking to the reader about taking care of yourself through positive attitudes and actions. There is are entire chapters devoted to dealing with stress reduction, healing affirmations, and changing negative thoughts to positive thoughts . Pamela gives examples which you can interchange with your own situation in your life.

She continues to explain how visualization can heal. Exercise is paramount in this plan: as I said before she gives examples of easy yoga moves and stretching. Of course walking, biking,  dancing, etc. is worthy of your time. Find movement you enjoy and will stick with on a regular basis.

Healthy eating has three chapters. She writes not only about foods you need to choose but ones that you should avoid. She addresses supplements in a diet, natural detoxing and even the controversial  issue of soy in a diet.

Pamela ends the book with sections on depression, easy remedies,l a  sleep journal and creating your own healthy lifestyle goals.

This book focuses on the entire body, mind , and spirit. If you are searching for a book which addresses all these areas, I think you will find this one helpful in thinking about how you can maintain a healthy lifestyle.
