My Take on the Game
Flippin’ Pickles surprised me with how much punch it packed in such a small deck. I brought it out during a rainy afternoon with my kids, and suddenly we were all locked in a fierce—and hilarious—battle to be crowned the ultimate pickle-matcher. Each turn feels like a race, with just enough visual trickery in the cards to keep you second-guessing even the closest matches. What seems like a simple memory game quickly becomes a test of reflexes, observation, and a bit of laughter when someone confidently flips a “Peace Pickle” that’s totally off. I loved that the game was quick to learn and plays in under 20 minutes, making it perfect when we want something fun without a long setup. Whether it’s for a road trip or family night at home, Flippin’ Pickles delivers fast-paced fun that kids and grown-ups can dive into together.

My Take on the Game
Eat Your Words caught me completely off guard—in the best way. I expected a quirky little word game, but what I got was full-blown silliness mixed with lightning-fast thinking. Every guess has to start with a "C," "P," or "B" and be followed by a food word like "carrot," "pickle," or "banana." It sounds manageable… until the pressure’s on, and suddenly your brain short-circuits trying to yell “beach carrot!” while everyone else is shouting nonsense. The chaos is absolutely the charm. We played with a group of four, and it quickly became a shouting match of hilarious wrong guesses and creative food fusions. Rounds are short, which kept the energy high, and no one ever got bored. It reminded me of games like Catch Phrase but with a weirder (and tastier) twist. If you like word games and don’t mind getting a little ridiculous, this one’s a must-play.

My Take on the Game

I didn’t think I’d love a puzzle game, but G’Nuzzle totally won me over. It mixes the fun of traditional puzzles with the thrill of racing the clock and outsmarting your opponents. Each player gets their own set of pieces and just one minute to add to a shared puzzle, which makes every turn feel like a mini adrenaline rush. I really enjoyed the quirky themes—yes, there’s a whole puzzle of pickles in people clothes, and it’s as ridiculous as it sounds (in the best way). The colorful pet option was easier to navigate, but the green-tinted pickle chaos added an unexpected challenge. It’s quick to set up, easy to explain, and great for both kids and adults. Whether you’re into puzzles or just want something new for game night, G’Nuzzle brings energy, laughs, and just enough strategy to keep everyone engaged. Definitely keeping this one in the rotation!

My Take on the Game
This game was a ton of fun! As someone that loved the card games Quiddler and Karma, I found that this was a ton of fun for the entire family. My girls and I loved playing this. You get a new letter to start with every turn and because of this you get a chance to think quickly. While there are some games where you can plan ahead I did not find that you could do this with WordSpiel. Best of all the game did not take long to learn. We have played this many times since we first got this, such a fun game!

My Take on the Game
My youngest daughter who is nine loves math and likes to challenge herself. That being said, being in third grade they have not done a lot of division yet, so this game helped to introduce to her the concept much more than she has had in the past. That being said, for someone that has not had some division already, this game makes division make a lot more sense. For my daughter it was the concept of having to distribute fish equally that helped her to understand a bit more. The great thing about this game is that it feels like a game and not learning. So I won't tell my daughter if you don't! That being said, you will find that this game really works and I know I have seen great leaps in the comprehension and understanding that my own daughter has with division since using this great game and so will you!

My Take on the Game
My daughter is in third grade and they have been exploring multiplication heavily this year. Once we got started she did not want to stop!

I am so glad that we found this and I have found that even though this uses multiplication, it is so much fun and my daughter has become much stronger in her multiplication since starting to play!

Quiddler Gives You A Chance To Connect With Your Family!

About the Game
Quiddler is a delightful challenge for rookies and wordsmiths alike. There are two bonuses each round: one for the longest word and one for the most words! The object is to arrange all the cards in your hand into one or more words. There are 8 rounds per game. Start with 3 cards in the first round, 4 cards in the second round, on up to 10 cards in the last round. Players draw and discard until someone forms their entire hand into words using two or more cards per word. Once a player goes out, everyone else gets one last chance to draw and put down the words they have made. Quiddler is called ‘The SHORT Word Game’ because readers of all ages can play and win with short words like ‘at’, ‘is’ and ‘the’. You can even use a dictionary when it’s not your turn. Try to use your high point letters, but don’t get caught with them in your hand!



My Take on the Game
This game was a blast. We had tried Quiddler Jr,, and had a blast with that, so moving up to the next version only made sense. We found that the game was a ton of fun and that you were definitely challenged to think on your feet and come up with words that will bring you to victory.

This is a game that you will bring out over and over again. You will find that it will bring you closer together, encourage a broader vocabulary and spend some true quality time together!

About the Game

How to Play
Each Quiddler Junior card contains a letter (or letter group) and a point value; the challenge is to use all of your cards to form one or more words. After one player uses all their cards and “goes out” each of the other players get one more chance to make the best words they can. You earn the points on the cards you were able to form into words. Every round the number of cards dealt increases which
encourages more or longer words. Convenient point chips help keep track of the score until the end of the game. Earn a bonus for the longest word (or give a bonus for a word on this week’s spelling list). Fast paced and fun this game has the whole family playing together!

My Take on the Game
I am always looking for a great family game, and while I have tried other Set Games in the past, I had heard great things about Quiddler. This is the Junior version of Quiddler and it intrigued me, as I was wondering whether my seven year old would be able to play this by herself or not. In playing this, the cards are wonderfully made with great imagery and graphics and many colors that truly drew my youngest daughter in from the beginning. I came to find that she did need some help at first as only being in first grade had some limitations in regards to the breadth of her vocabulary. As we played though she got better and better and after a few rounds she had the hang of it. By the end of the game she was asking to play it again. This game really challenges you to think and be creative with your words as well as encourages your kids to learn more and more words in the end. This is a great game that I would encourage for all families!

Game Review - Karma Card Game

About the Book
The inventor of FIVE CROWNS has done it again! Marsha Falco has created another delightful family game that unites generations. Packaged with the same size and look of the original line of games this elimination game has players locked in friendly competition that can turn completely around at the end of the game. Whether the Set line of games has been a best seller in your store for years or is a new addition, KARMA is a must-have for your card game section.

How to Play
KARMA is an elimination game where you have multiple winners and only one loser. The goal is to get rid of all of your cards. Play a card of equal or higher value to the previous played card or pick up the entire discard pile. Move through your hand faster by playing doubles or triples. A Karma Card, like a wild card, can be played at any time to get you out of a jam. But, be careful how Karma Cards are played because What Goes Around… Comes Around.

The KARMA card game is full of surprises right up to your last card played. It is a unique game because you are on a team with everyone and yet everyone is on a team against you. Two games can be combined to play with up to 12 players to add to the fun!



My Take on the Game
I am always looking for new games that will engage and delight my family and recently I learned about a new company when playing another of their games Quiddler, while visiting a friends’ child in the hospital. I initially reached out to the company to inquire about reviewing this game, but was encouraged to try Karma, as they stated that it was a family friendly game and they thought that it would be a great fit.

I received the game the other day and have to say that they were right. The card game, was easy to setup and follow and I found that both young and old could comprehend and play the game without problems. Best of all though, the game was interactive and engaging and a ton of fun to play. While the game is not a long game per se, it is something that gets to be a bit addictive and we found ourselves wanting to play over and over again (yes, we are game fanatics).

All of this being said, if you like card games and enjoy games that are interactive and fun for the whole family, I highly recommend Karma to you and your family as I do not believe that you will be disappointed in the least.

Game Review - Gravity Maze by ThinkFun!

My Take on the Game
This game was a ton of fun. I loved how the game not only captured marble runs that my daughters have always loved with a game that is interactive and long-lasting. I loved that we could play this for quite some time and not get sick of the game, but instead by the end we were wanting to pick it up again and have more fun together. The game itself truly brings my daughters and I together and while it does take some logistical reasoning, both my girls (ages 6 & 10) were both able to play this and have a great time. One of the things that both my girls enjoyed was using the challenge cards as it made the game more engaging and made you think even more deeply about what was happening and how you could make the game work for you in the end. As a father I liked that the kids could play this by themselves, or as a team and it challenged them to think in new ways.  This is the type of game that will have you coming back for more and more!

My Take on the Game
My daughters and I played this game last night and I have to say that we had a blast. We have played other games from Blue Orange Games in the past and have thoroughly enjoyed them, and this was the same. What we loved most about this game was the fact that you were able to create and match some very fun monsters. We played round after round and found that sometimes it was quick and sometimes it was drawn out, but it was fun none-the-less. The hardest part of the game was probably shuffling the cards as they are small, but that is not a big issue. This is a great game for a family game night, a sleepover or any other gathering as it gets people talking and having fun together!

My Take on the Games
As you can see in the above pictures, we were very excited to try out these games. We jumped right into the Frozen matching game and waited on the Marvel one (at least at first). My first impression of these games was one of admiration in regards to the art that was on the cards. All of the cards are beautifully made and draw from the Frozen movie and the Marvel universe. These cards were heavy duty and allow you to have as long or as short of a game as you want to have. There are a ton of cards you can use for the memory game, but you can also cut this in half and still have a ton of fun. We ended up playing the game for over an hour and had a few games under our belt and my daughters wanted even more. I for one have to say that these are definitely games that I would highly recommend to all Frozen or Marvel Universe fans as the games were fun and well made. I know that our family will be using this for quite some time into the future!

My Take on the Game
My youngest daughter and I loved this game! She is a big fan of the Sofia the First series and also enjoys having tea parties with me whenever she can. With that in mind this game was a perfect fit and allows your child's creativity to engage while you have a lot of fun engaging and interacting together while perfecting not only a perfect cup of tea and proper manners and etiquette. Thus, your child gets to learn a lot and have fun at the same time which is something that I am always looking for in the toys that I purchase for my children. All-in-all this was a ton of fun, and for any fan of the series, or any princess to be, this is a ton of fun for them and for the whole family!

My Take on the Book
As a big fan of Super Heroes and comics in general, this game looked like it would be a ton of fun! I did not know how easy it would be as it was listed as a game of strategy and with my girls being 9 and 5 I did not know how well this would go with them. That being said I have to say that my eldest caught on right away and my youngest did after a little bit.

I really liked how this was a game where you could work in teams to defend the Justice League satellite. Too many games are completely competitive and while there still is competition in this, you can also work on your teamwork skills too!

There is a nice mix of Justice League super heroes that you know that are in this and you can choose who you play with which was fun as well. It was too bad that all of the Justice League was not a part of the game, but we had fun with the ones that were included. On top of the heroes you also get a nice mix of villains that will rear their heads in this.

All-in-all I have to say that this game was well thought out and put together. Not only did I love all of the super heroes, but also the teamwork that it encourages. To win, you have to work as a team to be strategic and ward off the attacks. You also need the different super heroes to defeat different villains so there is no favoritism given to one or another character on the board. I have to say that we had a blast with this game and I believe that you will too!

Game Review - Ooga Booga Party Game

My Take on the Gane
This game was a ton of fun and really makes you keep your eyes open for what is coming next. My eldest daughter used this at a slumber party that she recently had and they had so much fun with it and they ended up laughing so hard in the end. One of the things that I really appreciated about this was how portable the game was, as you can easily take it anywhere and simply have a blast. So be ready to raise your voice and be the leader of your tribe, and of course, get ready to have fun, as this game gives you load of that as well!
