Book Review - Kitten Kingdom: Tabby and the Pup Prince
About the Book
Princess Tabby is no scaredy-cat!
Princess Tabby must be on her best behavior for the upcoming visit with the royal hounds of Barkshire. She can't wait to play with Prince Buddy, the pup prince. But then King Gorgonzola steals a magic orb, threatening to ruin the visit. Tabby and her brothers must once again stop the evil rat and save the day.
Cats and dogs are very different, and tagging along with the Whiskered Wonders is difficult for Buddy. Will he be able to keep up with the royal kittens, or is Mewtopia in for a ruff time?
My Take on the Book
We loved Tabby in the other book that we read together and in this book, we found ourselves loving her and the other characters just like in the other book that we read together. This is definitely a book that your child can read to themselves or one that you will enjoy reading together. We loved the adventure and of course the villain. This time, however, you also get a new dog sidekick. Seeing that cats and dogs are sometimes seen in books as antagonists, I was glad to see that Tabby and Buddy would have to set aside differences to be able to work for the betterment of all. Overall, this book is a fun read and you will stay on the edge of your seat as you wait to see what happens next!
