Stuck on what to get Dad this Father’s Day? How about an embroidered trucker hat or perhaps a thoughtful and always useful tire gauge? BloomReach, the Big Data company that monitors and analyzes online content and search queries to help customers be more discoverable online, took a look at over 2,000,000 search queries to see what’s trending in the gift department leading up the Father’s Day on June 17.
BloomReach has compiled an infographic of the most highly searched items that Dads are most likely to receive this year and the list has some good, some bad, and some downright questionable choices. Buckets topped the list, with searches for “plain fishing bucket” and the always utilitarian, “father’s day car wash bucket;” the Internet tells us that offspring today really know how to shop for Dad. Our infographic also points to fancier choices like a Father’s day nylon dress or the never out of style, engraved dog tags, but might offer some realistic suggestions like Dad’s favorite vintage candy or Father and son action figures from the sci-fi classics Pops grew up with.
