About the Book
A creepy mummy monster is on the loose in Stermont!

This series is part of Scholastic's early chapter book line called Branches, which is aimed at newly independent readers. With easy-to-read text, high-interest content, fast-paced plots, and illustrations on every page, these books will boost reading confidence and stamina. Branches books help readers grow!

In this sixth book, Alexander's class goes on a field trip to the history museum. The students have been learning about the legend of the bumpy mummy in class. But then Alexander thinks he sees the REAL bumpy mummy walking around! The famous Ruby Scorpion gets stolen from the museum, too! And what are those strange popping noises?! Alexander and his friends will have to work fast to stop Stermont's latest monster!

My Take on the Book
My girls have been loving this series. Each book let's you see Alexander and his class going through so many fun adventures and this book is no different. My girls really enjoyed this as they recently have been interested in reading and learning about Egypt and Egyptian society. With the Mummy that Alexander and his friends have to deal with they were really put through their paces. The book was a fun and quick read and we found ourselves wanting to read more and more to find out what would happen next! This was a great read for the whole family.
