About the Book
Set to hit theaters in December 2014, Night at the Museum: The Secret of the Tomb promises to be filled with even more laughter and adventure than the first two movies! This novelized version of the comedy-adventure recreates the story in a format that young readers can enjoy at their leisure. Museum security guard Larry Daly has settled into his role as caretaker of the museum's magical inhabitants, but he's about to face his biggest challenge yet as he and his friends discover that the mysterious source that brings them to life is fading. It's up to Larry to figure out how and why his friends exist before it's too late! Includes 8 page full color insert with photographs from the movie.

My Take on the Book
I finished reading this book and then noticed that the movie version will be in theaters in December. It is quite an adventure story.

If you are familiar with the Night at the Museum movies that have been released previously, you will know that the museum characters (animals and humans) come to life at night.

in this particular story, there is a problem with the Egyptian tablet that provides the life giving magic. Of course there are various encounters between the museum security guard, Larry Daley, and some of the humans and animals who come to life. In this story his son Nick becomes an integral part of the story.

The reader will feel the sense of urgency as Larry tries to solve the problem of the waning magic. I found it was difficult to read only one chapter.

I think you will find this story one that you will want to share with your child.
