Book Review - Rise Again

About the Book
This Halloween horror has a new standard in fiction.  With Rise Again (Simon and Schuster), veteran Hollywood writer, artist, and designer Ben Tripp raises the bar for horror and science fiction alike.  After being challenged by this novel, readers will regret returning to the typically mindless sci-fi and horror fare.

Tripp's twenty-year career as an artist, writer, and designer who has worked with major entertainment companies and motion picture studios and traveled the globe has prepared him to both entertain and challenge readers.  He is one of the world’s leading public experience conceptualists, with an international portfolio of projects ranging from urban master planning to theme parks.  His expertise in crowd dynamics allows a realistic portrayal of what could really happen if the dead rose again!
Vast corporate experience and knowledge gained from diverse career travels culminate in his unique worldview, which offers an unusual balance between entertainment and spectacle.  Understanding that entertainment does not necessarily require the sacrifice of quality writing, Ben Tripp keeps thrilled readers turning page after page.  And just in time for Halloween!
Rise Again is available in bookstores everywhere.  Visit this amazingly creative thinker's blog at: www.bwhitneytripp.blogspot.com or his website at www.riseagainthenovel.com.

About the Author
Ben Tripp has been an experiential designer for over twenty years, creating theme parks, urban developments and masterplans, resorts, museums, and attractions worldwide. He began his career as the then-youngest show designer ever recruited at Walt Disney Imagineering. He went on to design the world's largest themed attraction, Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Since then he has worked on nearly two hundred projects with clients around the world; his travels have taken him everywhere from Paris to Beijing, the Himalayas, the wilds of Africa, and the deserts of Inner Mongolia.

In addition to his work as a designer, Ben is also a prolific writer in several different forms.

He was once described as the “best unproduced screenwriter in Hollywood.” Like so many working writers in the film business, Ben never received a screen credit, despite making a living at the job for over ten years. He has worked on projects for every major studio and dozens of independent production companies.
His most recent work is Rise Again; his second novel, a vampire thriller entitled The Ormolu Clock, is 'cooling on the windowsill,' as he puts it. He is at work on his third novel.

In addition to screenwriting and novels, Ben has written many essays on a variety of topics, especially politics. He self-published the collection Square In The Nuts, and his work has been published in various outlets in the US and overseas, as well as worldwide on the internet.

Ben is also an illustrator and fine artist; his work has been shown in galleries and appears in private collections.

He has a son, Ian, and lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Oscar-winning writer-producer Corinne Marrinan, and their two excellent dogs.

My Take on the Book
If you like thrillers, then this book is the right one for you. The book keeps you at the edge of your chair, and will send you on a spine-chilling ride through a land of zombies that you will not forget. As a fan of thrillers, this one held up to many others that I have read in the past, and I believe that you too will find it to be enjoyable (just read it too close to bedtime)! The book was well written and the author packs a ton of content into each page, so you are getting a lot for your money.

Overall, an enjoyable read and one that I would recommend!

If this book sounds like one that you would like in your library, you can find it on Amazon!
