Book Review - Pocket Activity Fun and Games Books

About the Books
Small in size but bursting with fun activities to keep kids creative, busy, and happy each title in Barron's series of Pocket Activity Fun and Games books is packed with pages to color, puzzles and mazes to solve, stickers for decorating each book's fold-out illustrations, projects to construct, and games to play. Pocket Activity Fun and Games books are miniature versions of the titles in Barron's larger-format Creativity Books series. The new smaller size is even better for keeping kids busy on trips when space for extra take-alongs is at a premium. These little books are perfect for sparking kids' imaginations, keeping them occupied during quiet times at home, on car journeys, and on rainy days. Cheerful illustrations on nearly every page include many in color.

Barron's Dragon Pocket Activity Fun and Games has fire-spouting dragon stickers for making exciting illustrations, as well as a dragon head to construct, a dragon's egg puzzle to solve, and much more.

Barron's Pirate Pocket Activity Fun and Games book has a pirate-theme stencil sheet, pirate stickers, a buried-treasure puzzle, and much more.

Barron's Princess Pocket Activity Fun and Games book has a fun Are You a Real Princess? quiz to answer, princess pictures for coloring, prince and princess figures on press-out sheets, and dozens more princess-theme activities.

Barron's Fashion Tween Pocket Activity Fun and Games book has fashion clothes for little girls to design and color, paper dolls to cut out and dress, fashion-theme quizzes and puzzles, and much more.

My Take on the Book
This was a great collection of books that were perfect for the rainy day or for the longer car trip as they are filled with a ton of amazing activities that will keep your child engaged for some time. My eldest jumped right into these books and really enjoyed them. She told me that her favorite was the Princess book (go figure)! In going through these books myself I was impressed with the variety of activities that were within them all. Each of the pages within the books is tailored to encourage engagement not only with the content and subject of the book, but also fosters creativity. The stickers within this book are so fun too! So whether you have a pirate or a princess lover, you can definitely rest assured that your kids will love these books, just like mine did!
