My Take on the Book
This new fable like story is a delight to read and carries with it a message of cooperation and friendship. Morgan Kostival weaves an imaginative story about a small creature named Mimi, a Peewee, who becomes the first precious pink pearl. Let's see how that story is told.

The story takes place on an island in a dangerous ocean. On the island is a pond. In the pond lives a King, Queen Lily, Baron Sheldon and a dangerous fish named Cuddles who is always looking for something to eat.

The King , Queen and Baron were never friends. Circumstances which you will read kept them from a friendship which was not their fault. They lived in different parts of the pond and had different needs. They were afraid of each other.

A great warrior, Qurgo, lived above the pond. On his head ,the Peewee Village was placed. His job was to protect the small , jelly bean shaped creatures.

One day the smallest Peewee, Mimi, fell off of the platform into the pond. Qurgo was so afraid and tried to find her. The Baron found her and put her in an oyster to allow her to sleep and protect her but he knew he had to get her to the surface is she was to survive. This involved the cooperation of the King and Queen. They formed a friendship and created a plan to help Mimi reach the top of the pond. Unfortunately Mimi became encased in a pink pearl. They sent her up in the pearl and she laid on a beautiful lily flower . This is where Qurgo found the pearl. It was pink like Mimi. He took the pearl and put it on a string and put it around his neck as a reminder of the tiniest Peewee.

The King, Queen and Baron remained friends and continued to help each other live in the pond harmoniously.

So today the pink pearl is the most beautiful and rarest of pearls. The pearl is handled with care and love because little Mimi may just live inside the pearl that is formed.

This is a beautiful and gentle story. I think it could become a favorite of your precious child. It certainly reminds us of the friendship and cooperation that we need in our world today so that fear is dispelled and peace may take its place.
