Cold-EEZE and Maty’s Offer Great Options for Keeping Colds Away

I am always looking for ways in which I can provide either relief from cold/cough symptoms as they occur or better yet a barrier to stop a cold from even taking hold and through the use of Cold-EEZE and Maty’s products I get the best of both worlds.

Cold-EEZE reduces the duration of the common cold by nearly half.

It actually shortens your cold to help you get well sooner!

Here are a few things you should know:

  • Cold-EEZE treatment should begin as soon as possible when the very first symptoms of a cold start to appear, such as scratchy or sore throat, coughing, stuffiness, etc.
  • The Cold-EEZE brand is the #1 pharmacist-recommended zinc cold remedy. (Source: Pharmacy Times OTC survey – June 2011, page 18)
  • Cold-EEZE uses natural flavors and has no preservatives or colors. It is non-drowsy, non-agitating and does not affect blood pressure.
  • Cold-EEZE has millions of fans!

I was impressed in trying the products that I was sent as they truly did help stop a cold before it gets too strong, and being a parent this is so important as you do not want to be laid out with a cold for long, otherwise your kids may take over and the home goes down in shambles!

Maty’s is unearthing the age-old tradition of all-natural remedies, good for the body and the environment. They have carefully crafted safe, all-natural treatments for your child--and for you! With their products you can be sure that you are getting the finest, most effective ingredients without any dangerous side effects.

I tried Maty's Adult Cough Syrup. What I loved about it was that it:

  • This syrup begins with real antioxidant rich buckwheat honey. Many of Mother Nature’s most powerful immune and support ingredients are then added. Unlike traditional over-the-counter cold medicines, this product is food based and there are no harmful side effects. You can have peace of mind as well as a peaceful night’s sleep!
  • The syrup tastes great and works fast

Both of these brands were great and were ones that I would highly recommend as they promote natural healing, but even more than that, they are great tasting and work amazingly well!

Book Review - Book Review - The Art of Wisdom of Healthy Living II

About the Book
Part two focuses on the proper upbringing and care of children and young people. It encompasses a multitude of topics relevant to contemporary society; responsible raising of children, relationship between health and society, medication and health, basic in health ecology and travel and longevity.

Hoping to cover a vast variety of topics in an approachable and friendly manner, he determined solutions that maintained a positive and optimistic method.

“I wanted the book to be unique,” Kljajic says. “It contains the most important aspects of healthy living, points to the main source of problems and offers solutions.”

About the Author
Dr. George Kljajic graduated from the university of Belgrade, fromer Yugoslavia, complted his specialty in internal medicine, felloship in hematology and master degree in science. He recertified his medical degree at university of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada. lives in Vancouver, BC and work in his private medical practice.

My Take on the Book
This book is the second book written by Dr. George Kljajic on healthy living. In this book some of the main topics are: How We Raise Our Children, Health and Beauty of Women, Holiday Celebrations, Food and Drink, Music, Spirituality and Healing. Book 2 has 11 chapters and covers a wide range of topics. Besides the ones mentioned above he also includes sections about ecology and longevity .

I will share an article I read on longevity. It is called " Why do Japanese live a long and satisfied life?" It appears that the people of Okinawa have the greatest number of citizens in the world who live 100 years or older. They attribute this to exercise, healthy diet, positive attitude, socialization, recreation and spirituality. The information made me look at my life and compare it to the Japanese on Okinawa and ask myself "what can I do differently to live a more healthy life?" This is just one of many informative and interesting articles in the book.

I believe this book, like Dr. Kljajic's first book, could become another resource for your family and a good addition to your family library.

Book Review - The Art of Wisdom of Healthy Living I

About the Book
The book of health and healing that is clear, to the point, fluent, and truly educational. A wonderful series of articles about healthy living, healthy body and mind, creative relationship with other and one self.

Dr. George Kljajic specializes in transfusion medicine, internal medicine, and hematology. This is one of two books he has written using the topics concerning healthy living. He has written these books to raise the awareness of good health with a positive approach.

In Book 1, some of the main topics are : Listen to your Body and Soul, Exercise Beauty and Movement, Food: Psychology of Nutrition, and The Healing Power of Forgiveness. There are six chapters in the book and each chapter has multiple articles.

I will share with you one of the sections I read. This article was called "Cancer is Preventable". The text answers questions about how cancer cells grow, reproduce, and move within a person's body, causes of some common types of tumors, and how to prevent some cancers. Dr. Kljajic presents the information in an easy to read format, with specific details, and common language.

To me the book is a good resource on many topics. The reader can locate information quickly. Each article contains practical and useful information. I see this book as part of a family's library.

My Take on the DVD
This DVD was a great addition to the Veggietales line of films. I have always liked the idea and story of Robin Hood and this version takes a bit of a different look at the story and talks about the idea of giving to others as well as being able to think of others first. Will Robin be able to save his friends as well as heal the hurt that he feels for losing his own friends. On top of this the movie talks about the concept of hurt and how God is there for you through any hurt that you may have in your life. These movies are so great because they not only share a strong story, but they also share a spiritual story and message that all kids should hear and learn. I highly recommend this to all!

Book Review - Our Favorite Sins

About the Book
The Essential Guide for Beating Temptation

Falling for temptation isn’t inevitable. We don’t have to lose the fight. In fact, we can win if we understand the root of the problem and what Christians have done from the beginning to beat it. Our Favorite Sins shines a much-needed light in our lives’ dark corners and reveals the time-tested methods for getting victory over sin.

Are you tyrannized by your own desires?

If you are breathing, your answer is probably yes.

The question is: What are you going to do about it?

With more than thirty years of pastoral experience, Todd D. Hunter knows that most people—himself included—struggle every day with temptation. All too often, we fail and fall, and some of us are at our wit’s end, utterly defeated. What do we do to get a grip on the sin in our life and live like God wants?

There’s good news: despite all our failures and shameful “moments after,” there really is a way out, a way forward, and a way that draws us closer to the life that God desires for us.

In Our Favorite Sins, Hunter cracks open the problem of temptation and points to practical, Biblically based, time-tested solutions. First revealing the role played by our disordered desires, Hunter shows how different temptations trip us up and how we can resist and overcome them, even if we’ve fallen prey to them for decades. Victory starts with reordering our desires, and the church has given us the tools for the job. Hunter shows us how to use them and start beating the temptations that so often beat us.

Informed by exclusive research from the Barna Group, Our Favorite Sins offers a view that works for any believer wherever they are and no matter how big the battle they’re fighting.

My Take on the Book
This book looks at the concept of temptation and what happens when you fall into the grips of temptation. Well written and engaging you are able to get a good picture of ways in which you can set yourself apart from the temptation that you may be faced with in your life. The author, shares some great examples with simple and poignant prayers that you can use daily. What was most interesting though was that the sins you might think about initially as sins and instead the author explains that the sins that all of us need to be concerned with include: anxiety, procrastination, over-eating, media addiction, and laziness. I know that I for one have had some issue with the above issues but after reading this I found some new inspiration for tackling these areas in my own life. Think about these areas for yourself and think about what you can do to work on these issues in your life. All-in-all this was a great book that I would highly recommend!
