DVD Review - Veggietales Robin Good

About the DVD
Big Idea Entertainment is proud to release their newest DVD VeggieTales®: Robin Good and His Not-So-Merry Men, available at Christian retail stores March 3rd and everywhere March 6th, 2012.

In this Veggie-version of the classic tale, Larry the Cucumber stars as Robin Good, a fearless man who roves the town of Bethlingham with his band of merry men to help people by fundraising from the rich and giving to the poor! But when a greedy Prince starts stealing the townspeople’s hams, donations are down and Robin’s friends take off and decide to give robbing from the rich a try.

Feeling rejected, Robin thinks things can't get any worse, until he finds out that the ham-hoarding Prince has also captured his friends. Can Robin overcome his own hurt, rescue his friends and restore the townspeople's hope?

A story of faith, strength, and friendship, this timeless tale will warm the hearts of children everywhere!

My Take on the DVD
This DVD was a great addition to the Veggietales line of films. I have always liked the idea and story of Robin Hood and this version takes a bit of a different look at the story and talks about the idea of giving to others as well as being able to think of others first. Will Robin be able to save his friends as well as heal the hurt that he feels for losing his own friends. On top of this the movie talks about the concept of hurt and how God is there for you through any hurt that you may have in your life. These movies are so great because they not only share a strong story, but they also share a spiritual story and message that all kids should hear and learn. I highly recommend this to all!
