Product Review - World's Greatest Cat Litter

The World's Best Cat Litter™ Story
We humans have a long history with cats. But the history of cat litter is relatively short. For millennia, nothing worked. In 1947, clay litter was introduced. ... It didn't work. In the 1980s, clumping clay litter was introduced. It was better, but not ideal. So soon after, we set out to scientifically develop the absolute best solution for dealing with cat waste. We found the answer in the naturally absorbing properties of whole-kernel corn.

The result is World's Best Cat Litter™, the ONLY litter with a patented formula that harnesses the microporous power of whole-kernel corn to control odor better, absorb moisture faster, clump tighter, and last longer than all other litters—while providing a 100% renewable, 100% biodegradable cat litter that is pet, people, and planet safe.

After all, when it comes to controlling cat odor, there's no such thing as "good enough." With a patented odor-control and clumping formula, World's Best Cat Litter™ is scientifically proven to deliver:
  • Unsurpassed odor control
  • Compact clumping on contact
  • Long-lasting use
  • 100% natural and safe solution for pets, people, and our planet
Since 1998, there's been nothing else on the market like it. With HIGHLY SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE, proven benefits, and 100% all-natural ingredients, World's Best Cat Litter™ is the only litter that can call itself "the best."

Today, World's Best Cat Litter™ is produced by GPC Pet Products in Muscatine, Iowa. Our clumping cat litter enterprise was founded on more than sound science. It was founded on a love for cats—indeed all pets—a respect for our communities and a responsibility to our planet. That is why we're committed to giving to programs that further and enhance human-pet relationships, community viability and earth-friendly sustainable practices.

My Take on the Product
We have two cats and both are getting older in age (Scooter – 10 and Puffy – 9) so we have tried many different types of cat litter over the years. We have tried clumping and non-clumping, cheap and expensive and what we came to find is that for us we tend to like the clumping litter the best for ease in cleaning and for the fact that it lasts longer between complete cleanings.
The challenge though is the smell. For many cat litter brands, even if they have a scent to them, they tend to not mark the smell of urine that accompanies having cats. Thus, when I was asked to try out the “World’s Best Cat Litter” I questioned how good this litter really would be.

In opening the cat litter the first thing that I noticed was the lack of smell. The smell of this cat litter was more like cedar or wood chips. Also, the cat litter was much finer than other litters I have tried, as it did not have the granular feel and look that others tend to have.

When I put the cat litter into the litter box I found that initially about half the bag was used which was nice as I tend to like larger (more cost effective) options for cat litter. The cats seemed to not mind the switch and what I found was that this new litter truly sucked in the smell that we tended to get more often than not with other litters we used in the past.

One thing that we did notice with this though was that because it was finer than other litters it tended to get tracked out of the litter box a bit more than other litter.

Saying this, though I received a bag free to sample, I still would be willing to use my money to purchase this again in the future if I could find It at a local store. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the difference that you find in this litter!
