I am thrilled to finally announce a "dad proof" family weekend getaway: Crafting Community presented by Kimmel Kids and The Splendid Brand® held at the Ace Hotel, Palm Springs on October 8-10th.
Get your hands messy with some of the weekends events that even dad's can look forward to participate in:
- Skateboarding tutorials by professional skateboarder Richard Mulder
- Pool side BBQ's and relaxing
- Temporary tattoos by L.A. Tattoo artist Mister Cartoon
- Interactive workshops for parents and kids that include:
- Stencils, macramé, underwater photography, dioramas and much more!
- Live music by famed music duo Nikki & Rich
- Campfire storytelling with gooey s'mores under the stars
Karen Kimmel will host her signature stencil workshop and will be joined by fellow artists including Clare Crespo, Steven and Christine Visneau of Small Magazine, Geoff McFetridge, and Cathy of California. In addition to these workshops, the Splendid Brand will host Sew Splendid, a playful pop-up studio where families may customize their own Splendid brand gear. Tait Chatmon and Stacy Berstein of Kid Concierge will work with the artists and families to ensure a picture-perfect weekend.
