About the Pan
Utilizing GREBLON -- an ultra-safe ceramic coating from Germany, the Green Earth Pan by Ozeri is one of the world's first frying pans to achieve non-stick perfection while remaining absolutely free of PTFE, PFOA and other harmful chemicals.

Conventional cookware and other ceramic cookware brands achieve their non-stick performance through a coating of PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene), a synthetic substance that has waxy properties. At very high temperatures, PTFE begins to decompose and release fumes which are documented to be lethal to birds and small pets, and which can be harmful to humans. In addition, traditional pans incorporating PTFE are often manufactured with the aid of PFOA (PerFluoroOctanoic Acid), which the EPA has classified as a 'persistent pollutant of the environment'.

With the Green Earth Pan's GREBLON ceramic from Germany, even under high temperatures, no harmful toxic fumes are ever released into the environment. This is because the Green Earth Pan utilizes a 100% ceramic coating inspired by nature - not a laboratory. The Green Earth Pan's ceramic coating is completely free of PTFE and PFOA, and far more durable and scratch-resistant than other non-stick surfaces. With better non-stick properties, the Green Earth Pan allows you to saute, fry, bake, boil and braise with as little as half the amount of oil normally used, and cleaning is a breeze.

The Green Earth Pan by Ozeri is made of the highest quality die-cast aluminum that allows for even cooking and fantastic browning without hot spots. It boasts a magnetized bottom for rapid heat transfer on induction stoves, and a heat resistant silicone coated handle. This version of the Green Earth Pan features a textured ceramic cooking surface. The elevations of the textured cooking surface create air pockets which distribute heat underneath food to enhance cooking performance.

My Take on the Pan
I love to cook! Yes, I said it, a man, who loves to cook. With that in mind I am looking for high quality pans that help me to create dishes that my family will love without a ton of mess to clean up afterward. I also am looking for a pan that is safe for my family and does not leave any chemicals behind that my family will be impacted by. This pan gave me the best of all of this. Not only is it made in such a way that it is safe for my family, but it cooks so evenly, better than almost any other pan that I have. I loved the silicone handle on this too, as it gave me a perfect grip for the pan and did not transfer the heat from the pan to my hand in any way.

I did not know how I would feel about the color of the pan, as it really is that green, but I found once cooking with it that the actual color was not an issue, and actually it made identifying the pan amongst the other pans that I have even easier.

All-in-all I have been very impressed with this pan thus far. The only thing I hope for is that in the future that there will be larger pans available too!

The Gerber Ultralight Knife Gets The Job Done!

My Take on the Knife
If you are the type of person that is on the go, an outdoorsman, or simply someone that likes to have a versitile knife that can be used for just about anything, this knife is definitely the one to have. I was so amazed at first how light the knife was. This knife is light as a feather and compact so it can be taken anywhere. That being said though the knife also is very sharp and made with high grade steel, so it can be used on many tasks.

The knife opens and closes with ease and has a design that just works. It molds to the contour of your hand which makes carrying it that much easier as well.

I tried this on a piece of wood that I found on a recent hike and this knife worked well with whittling it into the form that I was hoping for.

I was very impressed thus far and I am looking forward to keeping this with me as a great tool for the foreseeable future!

Book Review - The Flip

About the Book

Too good a deal to pass up, but with an ominous secret. The old Victorian Mansion has dwellers that do not want to be dispossessed. My Take on the Book
There are so many people flipping houses these days, and many of them get a good deal to do the work and transform the house. This book examines one such couple that grab a house with a history that unbeknownst to them has repercussions that will impact them dramatically. This book gives you suspense, an underlying love story, mystery and a bit more. The characters were strong and as a reader I felt engaged and compelled to keep reading from beginning to end. If you are looking for gore, you will not find it in this, but there definitely is a good dose of paranormal activity that will keep you engaged and also some spooky activities too. All-in-all this was a great read that I highly recommend!

My Take on the Book
This book is completely geared at men, and at that, married men. Too often, even in my own life, we get lost in all of the activities and dad-to-day issues to take the time to really understand what we need to do to be the man that our wives deserve. This book examines this and a number of other issues in a fun, engaging way. I enjoyed how the book was so easy to read and uses humor and practical examples to truly touch my heart and soul and challenge me to become an even better husband in the end. This was a well written, candid, book that will help you take the steps to become a stronger and better husband. All married men should read this, as I know that you will come to enjoy this as much as I did!

My Take on the Book
WOW, I wish that this book had been around when I was a teenager. I remember reading the original 7 Habits book when I was a teen, but in placing myself in the mind of a teenager again, this book really connects on a deeper level with the teen and helps bring home the points that are shared. I was VERY impressed with the layout and the content and can see this making a HUGE impact on not only the effectiveness of teens, but even more than that, the future success that they will find for themselves too. The book was a fun read and has so many valuable tips that can be used by teens and adults alike. The book is honest and to the point and makes the learning real through the practical, real-life stories that are shared with the reader. You get advice that you can implement right away, and this, I believe, is one of the most important parts of the book overall.

Book Review - Another Christmas Carol

About the Book
Charles Dickens left us with the notion that Ebenezer Scrooge was "better than his word and became as good a friend, as good a master, and as good a man as the good old city knew." My Take on the Book
In the first book we are left to wonder what happened to Mr. Scrooge. This book takes up the story of Scrooge and brings him to life again. Though the story itself was short, it was a fun and compelling read that brings you back into Scrooge's life and you get to experience some of the painful parts of his life so that he can truly be what Dickens had in store for him at the end of his timeless tale. This was well written and a book that truly worked in my perspective. You get to be drawn further into the tale and get to know the characters that you met with Dickens on a deeper level.

Book Review - Stillwell: A Haunting on Long Island

About the Book
Paul Russo’s wife just died. While trying to get his family’s life back in order, Paul is being tormented by a demon who is holding his wife's spirit hostage on the other side. His fate is intertwined with an old haunted mansion on the north shore of Long Island called Stillwell Manor. Paul must find clues dating back hundreds of years to set his wife's soul free.



My Take on the Book
This was my first experience reading a book by this author and if this book is any indication, he will have a long career in writing. The book is a strong one that holds great suspense for the reader. You get drawn into the paranormal activities and through compelling characters you are transported into the story itself. The story is suspenseful as well as a love story. I was thoroughly entertained and captivated by the mystery that unfolds in the story itself and I know that any person that is a fan of the psychological suspense novel will enjoy it as well.
