My Take on the CD
My 7 year old daughter grabbed the CD from me the minute we got it and then she wanted to write the below review!

I like Kidz Bop 31. I like how they listen to the music and sing new words in the songs that I know. Kidz Bop singers sounds great and I love how they have kids like me singing songs that I listen to on the radio. This CD has some of the most popular songs now and I know that I am really excited to see what the Kidz Bop singers have in store for me on their next great CD. I give this 2 thumbs up!

My Take on the Book
My 7-year old daughter just read this book and reviewed it for all of you!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This book is a good book  for ages 7 and older. The book tells facts about people snowboarding, skateboarding, dog-sledding as well as explores other extreme sports. I liked this book and I think you will too because it shows  real pictures of the people in these sports and you get to learn a lot more about the sports too. I have seen a lot of these sports on television, but have never really read about them before. I am so glad that I had a chance to explore them more in this great new book!

Book Review - The 3 Gaps

The 3 Gaps

 photo disclaimer_zpsd3x74ej2.jpg

About the Book
For a Better Life, Close the Gaps!

We all want to make a difference. But just as you need to put on your own oxygen mask before helping other passengers on an airplane, getting your own life together is the first step to making a positive impact in the world. Franklin Covey cofounder Hyrum Smith shows that what stops us are gaps between where we are and where we want to be. The first is the Beliefs Gap, between what we believe to be true and what is actually true. The second is the Values Gap, between what we value most in life and what we actually spend our life doing. The third is the Time Gap, between what we plan to do each day and what we actually get done.

Smith offers a practical blueprint that we all can use to recognize and close each of these three gaps and illustrates how it can be done through inspiring true stories. The 3 Gaps provides the concepts and the tools needed to establish a solid foundation from which you can help make the world a better place.

My Take on the Book
This book gives you some great hints, tips and more about closing the gap between where you are and where you want to be. The book uses great examples to create a message that is sustainable and one that can easily be implemented into your daily life. The book will help you to create a plan for success that will lead you into your goals with passion and will give you a renewed sense of accomplishment, as you see yourself closing in on the goals that you set for yourself!

Book Review - How To Dress A Dragon

How To Dress A Dragon

 photo disclaimer_zpsd3x74ej2.jpg

About the Book
If you have to dress a dragon, you must be prepared to catch him as he flies by. Also, beware of ticklish toes, shirts with buttons, and hats that do not fit neatly between his horns!

In this charming, second-person narrative, our little boy hero imparts his infinite knowledge of how to dress a dragon, a task that isn't quite as easy as it may seem. With helpful hints like, You may have to tickle-tackle him to the floor and give him belly kisses, and warnings like, Dragons do not like shirts. But they do like capes ! this story is not only delightfully entertaining, but extremely endearing. Author Thelma Lynne Godin and illustrator Eric Barclay come together perfectly to bring this fantasy to life!

My Take on the Book
I noticed that this book is a circular book. I recommend that this book is for ages 5-9. The book is funny. The dragon is funny because he likes underwear and he doesn't like to wear shirts. This story is enjoyable and the colors really stand out. I really liked this book and you will too!

They are both excited about the big performance in the theater tonight.

Barbara McClintock's richly illustrated, heartwarming story is sure to become a perennial favorite.

My Take on the Book
For anyone that loves dance or dancing, this was a fun book that will open the eyes of a young reader to the beauty and art of ballet.

I loved the interaction between the characters and you can see that young and old can love ballet, both dancing in this form as well as watching and enjoying it too.

The book also has wonderful images that draw you into the overall story.

I truly enjoyed this book and you and your kids will as well!

Book Review - The Business of Podcasting: How to Take Your Podcasting Passion from the Personal to the Professional

The Business of Podcasting: How to Take Your Podcasting Passion from the Personal to the Professional

 photo disclaimer_zpsd3x74ej2.jpg

About the Book
This book is by two of the pioneers in podcasting: Donna Papacosta of Trafalgar Communications, host of the popular "Trafcom News Podcast" and an internationally known trainer and seminar leader; and Steve "@PodcastSteve" Lubetkin, founder of Professional Podcasts, one of the first podcast production companies and a division of The Lubetkin Media Companies LLC, an award-winning producer of business and organizational podcasts, with more than three quarters of a million downloads.

Unlike other podcasting books that delve into the mechanics of creating a podcast, The Business of Podcasting tells you about the business side of podcasting: how to position clients' expertise through podcasting, the best business models, how to find clients, contracts, legal reviews, and much more.

My Take on the Book
I have read a lot of books on podcasting lately. With two podcasts that I run, dadspotlight.com and one other that is on Law School Success, I am always looking for new books that can help me with my craft and running the business more successfully.

The nice things about this book is that it opens your eyes to many practical tips that you can easily implement today that can transform your business and our podcast.

The authors bring a ton of experience to what they write and what you get in this book is a wide-array of resources, hints and tips that really allow you to see more and more ways in which you can creat a life and a lifestyle around your interest in podcasting.

So as you can see, this book is not all about the nuts and bolts about starting a podcast, though you get some of this, but instead it goes deeper and allows you to explore new areas that will let you consider ways in which you can monetize and move your podcast to a new level.

This is a great read!

 photo disclaimer_zpsd3x74ej2.jpg

About the Book
Join Carole P. Roman as she visits the Republic of Italy. Learn what it is like to live in Rome, see the famous architecture, celebrate a favorite holiday and discover popular names for both boys and girls. Be fascinated with it's diverse and rich history and colorful traditions. On the way, you might learn a word or two in Italian!

My Take on the Book
This is another great book from Carole P. Roman. As someone who's family is from Italy, I was impressed with the amount of information that the author shares with readers on this amazing country. You get a great glimpse at some of the history within the country and some of the most notable landmarks too, The book truly teaches kids to appreciate the world around them and to open their eyes to being open to new cultures and ways of living. My daughters loved hearing about this country, and I especially enjoyed sharing this because my relatives are from there. This book gives me a new way to introduce my kids to the world and it will help your kids better appreciate the world too!
