My Take on the Book

The Executive Condition made me think differently about what we often call success. What stood out to me is the idea that these issues may not be obvious at first. Someone can continue achieving professionally while their health and ability to lead effectively are slowly being affected.

I also appreciated that the book doesn't treat this as simply a matter of working less or taking better care of yourself. Instead, it presents health as part of being an effective leader for the long haul. That perspective makes this particularly relevant for executives and anyone in a demanding leadership role. The Executive Condition is an important reminder that your career can be successful on paper while the person behind it is paying a much higher price than anyone realizes.
