About the Book
Something smells fishy in the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. The merfolk claim the mighty kraken is attacking their city and threatening their safety. They have called yeti Blizz Richards and his team of cryptozoologists to track and capture the beast. But something about their story isn't holding water... To find the kraken and get some answers, Blizz and the gang will have to face man-eating sharks, powerful magic crystals, giant crabs, and find a long lost hero in the furthest reaches of the deep.

My Take on the Book
In this fantasy story, the reader will meet some interesting and creative creatures. Some of the creatures love the ocean (where the story takes place) but some do not.

The main characters are Buzz Richards, Gunther, and Alex. They receive a desperate message to help Atlantis. Mayor Julius Bladsand blames the creature called the Kraken for beginning to destroy Atlantis. It appears he could be correct in his assumption but our three main characters become detectives to try to solve this problem.

The reader learns the mayor is greedy and selfish and it is the Kraken who is trying to save the ocean and its animals. The story has a happy ending for everyone except the mayor as he gets punished for his horrible deeds against the ocean and its animals.

There is adventure, mystery, and fantasy in this book. The drawings are in black on white and match well the text. The author made sure the reader could easily identify the emotions of the characters in his drawings.
