My Take on the Game
I had heard some great things about this new possibility for my WII U but I had not tried it until recently. When I did get the opportunity I was so amazed at how easily this system integrates with your existing Game system, or at least it did for me. That being said, the Mario character is easily activated by simply tapping the character to the game pad. If you have multiple characters you can swap back and forth in the game too. Playing the game in this way is so much fun, and Nintendo has been rolling out more and more characters too. So I encourage you to go and check out some of the other characters that you can hook into the system!

This was a great family game that my daughters and I loved! You will fall in love with the Amiibo characters and will want to add on to the characters you may of may not have already!

My Take on the Game
Another great Ben 10 game! I loved the game play and the differing characters that you can become as well as the enemy's that you can fight through the game itself. The story was engaging and I found myself wanting to play further and further into the game itself to see where it would lead. I didn't know how well my daughters would do with the game initially and my nine year old had no problems. My five year old had some issues with controlling the main characters in the game. I could tell that it really is more geared toward a bit older kids which is fine for my older daughter and I. This game provided hours of fun for both of use and we had a blast and so will you!

Angry Birds Trilogy

My Take on the Book
We were excited to try out this game! Seeing that my whole family are BIG angry bird fans. The graphics were ok. I felt that they held true to the Angry Bird mobile games, but I thought that they could have done more. On top of this I thought they might have been able to offer a bit more in regards to allowing multiple players to play against each other, however the game is only geared toward one player which was a bit disappointing. My girls and I did like the game play though and it brought the mobile game to the big screen which was definitely fun. I would say that if you are a fan, you will enjoy this, but don't be expecting the same things I was and you won't be disappointed. I would give this about a 3.5 out of 5 in my book for the game play and graphics itself!

Turbo: Super Stunt Squad

My Take on the Game
My daughters loved this movie and they were excited to try this as well. I was lucky to have the chance to try this game out for WII, WII U and Nintendo 3DS. In getting these I was excited to see how close the game was to the movie. In playing the three systems I have to say that there are some similarities to the movie, but also some differences, but all-in-all the graphics of the characters form the movie were great.

In playing this though I tried playing with my five year old first and then my nine year old and have to say that it was a bit challenging. My five year old on each of the systems had difficulty figuring out controls and then being able to control the character and how much they slide when racing. My nine year old fared a bit better, but it took time and practice. Even for me, I found the controls to challenging as well.

Also, when playing in tournament mode, I found it hard at times seeing where the track was going and there were times when I actually got lost a bit and had to keep going around (in circles it seemed) until I was able to find the way that I was supposed to be going. That meant though that I usually came in toward the bottom of the pack in regards to the race itself. Not that I am complaining about where I ended the race, but it would seem in my perspective that it would have made more sense to have the track better marked on all of the levels (as some were definitely better than others).

I was not as disappointed in the graphics as some that I read, but there were parts of the game that I thought could have been more defined and much deeper in overall graphic quality.

All-in-all I was a bit disappointed in the controls for the game, and wish that there had been some ability for the players to control the difficulty of the game, allowing for people at differing abilities to play too.

My Take on the Game
I found this to be a ton of fun and completely engaging as a family game.I loved that we could have our whole family (all four of us) play this and have some great interactive play (and even some competition as well). The graphics were fun and reminded me so much of the movie (which is better than some movie related games I have played in the past). The plot of the game was fun and even my youngest was able to join in on the fun and follow along. Beyond the normal play I loved playing some of he mini games as well as they were nice additions to the overall game itself. All-in-all this was a fun game, that incorporated not only the characters, but the plot, look and feel of the movie too and is a game I would encourage all to try out today!

Game Review - Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two

About the Game
Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is an Action-Adventure Platforming game set in the Disney themed gameworld of Wasteland. The game utilizes the same open-ended, environment-manipulating play mechanics of the original Disney Epic Mickey to create a unique experience that lets players create their own paths through game levels. The game features both Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, each with their own tools of environment manipulation. Additional features include, forgotten Disney characters and attractions, all-new levels, professional voice acting, Disney-inspired music and lyrics, and drop-in, drop-out two-player co-op support.

Unleash the Power of the Brush in a Whole New Way

Join Mickey and Oswald in an epic battle to save the magical world of Wasteland and change it forever. Interact with your favorite characters like never before in the most heroic adventure yet.

In Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, gamers will play as Mickey Mouse and for the first time ever, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney's first cartoon star, in an all-new adventure of creativity and discovery. Created by industry luminary Warren Spector and Disney Interactive's Junction Point game development studio, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two returns the franchise to the Wii system from Nintendo.

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two returns Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to Wasteland, an alternate world filled with 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions. But for the first time, Mickey and Oswald will join forces as true partners - Mickey with his magical paint brush that wields paint and thinner, and Oswald with his powerful remote control that allows him to command electricity. This new co-op play combined with enhanced in-game physics will further enhance the idea that "PlayStyle Matters" - a unique approach to gameplay pioneered by Warren Spector where players dynamically tackle different challenges in order to explore all possibilities and storylines, but with consequences for their chosen actions.

Key Game Features

  • Players can play as Oswald in drop-in, dropout 2-player co-op mode. The Power of Two will be evident as Oswald participates in Mickey's adventure every step of the way.
  • All in-game characters -- most notably Oswald The Lucky Rabbit whose voice will be heard for the first time ever -- are fully voiced by the official voice actors of those characters.
  • Players will experience Disney's forgotten characters and attractions in all-new levels and further explore levels from the original Disney Epic Mickey game, but now changed, impacted by world-changing events that have shaken Wasteland apart. New 2D levels based on classic Disney animated films and shorts will offer compelling puzzle-based, platforming gameplay.
  • Players enjoy an original game story co-written by award-winning American comic book writer, Marv Wolfman, and Junction Point. The storyline features a variety of new and returning characters that further immerse players in Disney's rich history while adversaries familiar and new will challenge players.
  • Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is the first video game that can be described as a "musical," where at various points during the adventure characters will express themselves and advance the plot by bursting into song. All songs feature original Disney-inspired music and lyrics. Players will also hear tunes and instrumentation that change based on their personal choices, which will ultimately allow each individual to "conduct" their own unique soundtrack.

My Take on the Game
I was never able to play Epic Mickey, but I have to say that this game was so much fun. I loved the two player function in this as people had told me that they had wished to have had this in the first game. As a Disney lover, I was excited to try out this game for myself to see what all of the hype was. In playing this game I have to say that I loved the graphics and how Disney brought in the best of Mickey and Oswald into one game together. The levels that this game had were so much fun to play and my eldest daughter also loved playing this too. Not only did the game have great game play, but Disney did a great job at providing a great story along with the game itself. It took me a little while to get used to the view of the game itself, as the camera view was always a bit distant from the character itself, so it took time to understand how to work with this. My daughter who is almost nine seemed to get used to it sooner than I, but I am starting to get more used to it the more that I play the game.  One of the things that I loved most about the game was that Disney has incorporated so many of the known and forgotten characters and attractions that true Disney fans (like myself) will simply love.

This is the type of game that will definitely make you come back for more and more.

This is the type of game that any Disney fan would love to have in their home and is definitely one that I would recommend to all!

My Take on the Game
This was a ton of fun and with the fact that you get to choose your character (based on the movie characters) my daughter and I had a blast. The game had great graphics and was interactive and engaging. I was impressed also with the overall story itself as it did follow a similar premise to the movie, but was also a bit different. I loved the differing areas in which you play this game and the creators have done a great job at creating an internal world that draws you into the game further. It does take a little bit to get used to the overall controls of the game, but once you do get ready for a fun game that will keep you entertained for a long time!
