Disney's Robin Hood

About the Movie
To commemorate its 40th anniversary, Disney proudly presents the unforgettable animated classic Robin Hood on Blu-ray for the first time ever. Experience all the fun, thrills and celebrated music (Academy Award® Nominated Music for Best Original Song ³Love² in 1973) of this legendary adventure with perfect picture and sound!
Join Robin Hood, his trusted companion Little John and his hilarious band of Merry Men as they outfox greedy Prince John to save the good people of Nottingham. Dashing from one daring deed to the next, Robin won¹t rest until he wins the hand of Maid Marian and restores King Richard to the throne. One of Disney¹s most beloved movies is even better on Blu-ray Combo Pack!

Voice Cast: Brian Bedford (Nixon, Grand Prix) as Robin Hood; Phil Harris (Aristocats, The Jungle Book) as Little John; Andy Devine (Stagecoach, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance) as Friar Tuck; Monica Evans (The Odd Couple, Aristocats) as Maid Marian; Terry Thomas (It¹s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, The Abominable Dr. Phibes) as Sir Hiss and Roger Miller (Into the Wild, Broke Back Mountain) as Allan-a-Dale

My Take on the Movie
Robin Hood is the type of story that you would expect  to share. Finding a hero that does what he does in the name of goodness and stands for what he stands for is exactly what Disney has been sharing with audiences for years. Of course though, they share the story in their own way, and this movie is definitely a unique version of the Robin Hood story that not only has a great plot, but also has some great music as well.

In this new Blu-ray release, Disney has done a great job at bringing the movie back in its full glory in high definition with music that just sounds amazing and colors that simply pop!
While the animation in is movie is a bit different than in others, I loved it none-the-less and I always find myself rooting for Robin Hood every time I see this as I want King John, the Sheriff of Nottingham and Sir Hiss to get what they have coming to them!

I would have liked to have had a few additional extras on this blu-ray as I always enjoy learning about the movie and how it came to be and there really was nothing there in that regards. That being said though, the movie on this blu-ray was stunning and definitely something that I would encourage all to watch and share with your family!
