The single-camera comedy is a unique mix of Louis C.K.’s stand-up comedy and scripted stories. Louis C.K. serves as executive producer, writer and director and Dave Becky and 3 Arts Entertainment are executive producers.
“LOUIE” Season 1 features all 13 episodes and bonus footage including deleted scenes, unaired and unrated comedy sketches and commentary as well as exciting guest appearances from comedians Ricky Gervais, Pamela Adlon, Nick DiPaolo, Todd Barry and Mathew Broderick.
My Take on the DVD
I had never had the chance to see this show during its first season so when I was offered a chance to review this DVD, I thought it would be a great time to check it out to see what I thought. In watching the DVD, I have to say that Louie C.K., is hilarious. His cynicism as well as his stand up acts stand out as being a character that will stand the test of time.
I found myself laughing continuously in some areas, and I found it interesting to watch his and realize that you could tell that the show was not a big budget production, however, you do get big budget results (if you know what I mean).
There were parts of the series where the comedy was a bit dark for myself and my family, but all-in-all, the show was definitely a keeper. Though I do not get HBO at home, I hope that a series 2 set like this will come out so that I can make sure to be able to catch up on what happens next season!

Bonus points if you can then make the item travel on wheels at speeds greater than 50 miles per hour. My Take on the Boo kI have had the opportunity to see a number of the books that have come out in the past from these same authors and each book was filled with the same type of crazy humor that was in this book. You have the opportunity to laugh and see some great hilarious things that people have done to make "fixes" for things. You will be amazed, flabbergasted and dumbfounded at some of the audacious things that people have done to fix things (I know that I was).
If you like to be amazed and you like to laugh then this book is for you!

My Take on the BookThis book is a huge travelogue for the food gourmand. Filled with funny anecdotes, recipes and more this book will take you away from your existence to 400 cities (places you may have never been to or ones you go to every day). One thing for me that stands out though is that he finds great eateries, that are off the beaten path. He finds the locally owned ones that everyone goes to because they are so great, but the outsider would not necessarily know how good it was.
The book is a quick and easy read and it allows you to step away from your own life to live vicariously and try out some offbeat and unusual attractions and an amazing array of culinary delights. You are also provided with a number of the actual recipes which only adds to the overall book!

My Thoughts on the Book
My family are animal lovers and especially cat lovers. and this book was strewn full of kittens! I had not really known much about icanhascheezburger.com so when I received this book, I did not know exactly what to expect.
This book is full of pictures of kittens with funny captions....that is the main concept. While it is definitely not going to increase your IQ, I will say that it will provide you with some fun entertainment through the clean humor that it provides.
The book is very quick read but may take you a bit longer if you have not seen books like these before. Why do I say this? One of the things that people either love or hate about the way that the website and book is written is that it is not written grammatically correct. I know that when J-Mom read this (being an elementary teach by training), she did not really like the way the book was set up for this reason. I can set that aside (though at times, I did have to go back a second time to make sure I read it right).
