Book Review - My Ballet Bag

About the Book

My Take on the Book
This was a cute story that really examined what being a ballerina means, what they do and more. The book was short and to the point, but it was fun and as a board book, even young readers/dancers will enjoy learning and reading this with adults.

Book Review - The Berenstain Bears and the Biggest Brag

About the Book
A new addition to the bestselling Berenstain Bears' Living Lights series that teaches simple Christian truths to children.

In this newest Berenstain Bears Living Lights book, The Berenstain Bears and the Biggest Brag, Grizzly Gramps teaches Brother and Sister a valuable lesson about bragging and boasting. When he happens to overhear the cubs bickering about who can spot the most unusual cloud formations, Gramps puts a stop to the argument. He reminds them that being proud of a special talent from God is one thing, but bragging about a talent is foolish.

About the Author
Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents, Stan and Jan, working together to write and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too.


My Take on the Book
I really liked this book and the message that it shared. There have been many times lately where my kids have had issues with bragging. What I loved about this was that it combined a spiritual and practical element so that kids can understand why bragging is not what God, parents or anyone wants them to do.  It was a great read that continued to add much to the overall Berenstain Bears series.

My Take on the Book
My family loves the Pout-Pout fish stories, so we were excited to receive this to read and enjoy. This was much shorter than other books in the series. As a board book you get through the book quickly, but it was a fun, enjoyable read. The illustrations were engaging and you will continue to find this fish endearing.

My Take on These Retro Flavors
I loved these flavors and so did my kids. We had a blast trying them out and they really taste like the flavors that they were supposed to. These were perfect flavors for them as my eldest loves Root Beer and my youngest loves Cotton Candy, so you can guess who did not get to have that many of the Mike and Ike candies in general - me!

My Take on the Book
When I read through this book, my thoughts were that it would be perfect for the young girl who is learning about make-up, clothing, manicures, making good food choices, exercise importance, etc. The book is full of facts about those subjects and more.

Some pages are "how to' pages. For example: how to apply eye make-up or styling long hair.

Some pages included information about making good food choices and even a guide to yoga and its importance.

Several craft projects were included. One section showed the reader how to decorate headbands and other hair accessories. The author included stickers and stencils to use in the book.

It was not all reading. Most of the pages include space for the reader to mark answers to questions or write personal entries.

The book could be read and used independently or used with someone who would guide the young girl as she reads the information.

My Take on the Vitamins
There are so many vitamins that are not natural. What I love about these vitamins is that they are filled with everything that my body needs to be able to have the full coverage for ultimate health. While I could be taking a vitamin that technically has the vitamins that I need, this was made with natural ingredients and was made to be formulated for my body and had a ton of other important ingredients that I know that I need but I also knew that I was lacking in my own diet.
