My Take on the Product

My family and I were very excited next K’NEX shipment. In this we had two different new K'NEX sets and both were a hit. This set brought me back though as it was the original Lincoln Logs that I remembered as a child, with some updated fun things that you could use to make the set into a fun ranch. The kids loved making the ranch and bringing in other toys to make the ranch come alive. For me though, I loved the fact that kids can be creative with this and move beyond the set instructions. The set is complete with everything that you would need to set this creativity alive and for my girls, this was definitely the case and I know it will be for your kids as well!

DVD Review - Busytown Mysteries: Mysteries Of Busytown

I have to say that the Busytown Mysteries Series are a huge hit in our home. As a parent I have to appreciate what the series is done in talking about the friendship, collaboration, sharing, as well as investigative techniques are fun and interactive and so engaging for young children. These DVD’s continue the great series of episodes that are on the television for children to watch.

That being said, this DVD had wonderful artistic value as well as a great storyline and music. My daughter has already watched them numerous times and we just received the other day. As a parent I'm always looking for great television shows that have valuable messages inherent with them, and I know that this series is one that I never have to worry about the content, as it always has value and the message is something that we all wish to have our children learn.

DVD Review - Yo Gabba Gabba: There's a Party in My City! Live Concert

About the DVD
I have never seen Yo Gabba Gabba live in concert before, so when I received this DVD I knew I was in for a treat. I had seen their television show before and my kids have enjoyed them since they were young. They blend of music and excitement is contagious and the kids thrive on it. This DVD is great and incorporates wonderful music and engages kids in the concert itself. So even if you are not able to attend a live concert you can have a live concert right in your own family room. One word of caution though, the songs are very contagious and by watching us don't be surprised if your kids start singing the songs day in and day out, and before you know it, you will be too. This is a great DVD for the entire family.

On top of this DVD, the book that comes along with it is fun and goes well with the DVD itself. This nice collection is available for a reasonable price and at least for my family was a great addition to our collection.

CD Review - Kidz Bop Ultimate Hits

This is going to be an amazing CD. If you are a fan of Kidz Bop already (as I am), this CD brings together some of the BIGGEST hits that they have had onto one album and completely lets it rip! What is great about this franchise is that the CD's are clean, and no matter what the content of the original song. As a parent you do not have to be worried about this CD as the language is appropriate to young ears and they do not miss any of the color that might be there otherwise.

My girls have been dancing up a storm since we received this and will not let us play anything else and I am sure if your kids are anything like mine, you will have the same thing happen there too!

Book Review - Together: Growing Appetites for God

About the Book

My Take on the Book
This book is great if you are looking for ways and inspiration regarding one mother's quest at reading the bible to her children while they were young. The author writes in a fun and engaging way and her use of humor makes the reading the book light but at the same time meaningful. I can see after reading this that this process is not an easy one and instead it is one that takes some definite time and effort. What was best for me were the guiding questions in each chapter which helped me to grapple and better understand what I was reading and translate this into action.

Book Review - Parenting With Scripture

My Take on the Book
I love the fact that this book is set up in such an easy to understand way. As a parent you are always looking for ways in which you can help your child to be stronger in their own faith as well as understand how faith and the bible connects with their own life and this book makes it so easy. With every issue being categorized alphabetically you have the opportunity to be able to find exactly what you would like. Also, the book gives you so many conversation starters and ways to incorporate this into your everyday routine, making it so simple for any parent to understand better how they may be able to incorporate spirituality into any conversation with their child.
