My Take on the Book
This is a great set that lets you build BB-8, C-3PO, and R2-D2. These models were easy to make and a ton of fun for all ages (including adults). The instructions were easy to follow and we loved they also did not take a ton of time either. One other nice thing was that you do not only get great models, but you also get 64 pages of great information about droids that you will find in the Star Wars movies. This is a great book and activity for any Star Wars fan.

My Take on the Kit
My daughters and I worked on this, even though this was not a multi-person project. I have never been a huge crochet person, but this kit made it easy and the instructions were very clear when it came to the characters too. There is enough yarn for 2 projects (Jawa and BB-8) and then you will need more yarn to make more. Now that we have made one though we want to actually make more and you will too. Overall I think this kit is geared toward the intermediate person that has crocheted in the past. If you have never done this before you probably will find that this is difficult. They do offer more advanced options for you if you are at that level of skill. If you are a beginner, you could try this but it may be a challenge. The only thing to keep in mind is that materials are limited in the kit and you may want additional or even better quality yarn when making these cool characters.

My Take on the Book
This is a great book with some amazing images to color but even better there is a ton of information in regards to each of the dinosaurs that are covered too. This is a new approach to a coloring book that allows it to not only entertain but educate which makes the book truly unique!

My Take on the Book/Kit
This was an amazing kit that not only allows you to read about and understand a ton about Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon. On top of this though you can build the Millennium Falcon too. Talk about a ton of fun! I loved this myself and my daughters thought that the kit was not too difficult too. I loved that you could not only learn about the ship but also the characters and you had something tangible at the end of the project too!

My Take on the Book
This is a great book that really gives you a unique perspective into both fatherhood and the new realities for dads out there in society today. The book is practical, but also is filled with very funny anecdotes and persona takes on fatherhood. I particularly enjoyed the advice and pitfalls that Chris Pegula provides. I can see this book as a great resource for new dads, but there are also some great reminders for those dads that have been married for many years too!

My Take on the Kit/Book
This was a great kit and book! We loved making a few starfighters for ourselves. With the kit you can make both a X-Wing and TIE fighter. The instructions were easy to follow and the models look great once made. An additional bonus that you get with this is a 64 page book that gives you great information on both the X-Wing and TIE Fighter too. This was great and if you are a Star Wars fan you will love this book!

Book Review - Time Shifters

About the Book
When Luke investigates an eerie blue glow in the woods behind his house, he doesn't know what he'll find there. But a scientist, a robot Abraham Lincoln riding a friendly dinosaur, and a sassy ghost were the last things he could have imagined stumbling upon. Now as Luke and his new companions are pursued by a bickering trio of bumbling henchmen after the strange device locked to his arm, he's forced on a crazy, headlong adventure in a parallel dimension! Will he find his courage in time to save the day and get home or will he be trapped in a weird alternate reality forever?



My Take on the Book
This story is quite the adventure. It is done in a comic book style with speech bubbles. It will certainly keep the reader engaged throughout the entire adventure. 

Luke and his brother Kyle take a walk on a day and tragedy occurs. As Luke deals with his brother's death, he ventures into the forest and meets some unsavory characters, his wrist is attached to a device which brings him luck, and he meets some other characters which become his friends. 

There are dangers throughout his adventure to get from this new dimension he is in to the life he once knew. He learns to be brave and clever and to depend on his new friends.

The ending is amazing. The author is taking you into a new realm of possibilities for Luke. I really think you will enjoy this story.
