Bobbi-Toads’ are Fashionable Fun for Kids’ Feet

Even at an early age, little girls seem to love fashion. They play dress up, they paint their nails, they do their hair and they have fun with their clothes. And now they can even paint their shoes. Introducing Bobbi-Toads, a new line of shoes for girls with “toes” that can be painted with nail polish. Bobbi-Toads officially launched today, just in time for the holiday season.

The Bobbi-Toads line of shoes for girls includes six different styles, featuring a variety of colors and designs available in both Velcro and lace-up closures. “These are a fun shoes that make feet fashionable for little girls,” explains Jacki Stanley, co-owner of Bobbi-Toads. “We wanted to give girls the ability to express themselves, make a unique fashion statement and, most of all, have fun.”

Using non-toxic nail polish, girls are able to paint the shoes just as they would their own toes. When they’ve changed their outfit or even their mood, simply use nail polish remover to clean the shoes and apply a different color.

“The polish is easy to change and won’t stain the shoes, meaning girls can change it as often as they like to keep their feet fashionable,” adds Stanley.

The shoes come in a variety of sizes as well, ranging from little girls’ 11-13 to big girls’ 1-6, and are available online at www.bobbitoads.com for $49.95. Bobbi-Toads also offers non-toxic Bobbi-Polish and polish remover via the company’s website. The polish comes in ten shades, from Cotton Candy pink and Doodle Ball blue to Forest Dew green and Sweet Frosty Grape purple.

My Take on the Shoes
My girls love these shoes! Not only are the colors that are available amazingly bright and vibrant, but even beyond this, they are unique, which in their minds is even better! On top of this they thought the the ideas of having toes on their shoes was cool, and having mom and dad tell them that they could put nail polish on the shoes, you should have seen their eyes! My girls have also told me that the shoes are very comfortable and with the amount of time that they now wear the shoes, I guess this is so. If you have never heard of these shoes, and you have girls, you definitely need to go to the Bobbi-Toads' website and check out the variety as I think you and your kids will be impressed...I know that my girls and I were!

The Enzo Jumper Boot - A Great Boot for Any Girl

My Take on the Boots
These boots were very cool and my daughter thought they were very stylish as well. One of the best things about the boots was the fact that they were interchangeable for the spats that came with them, so no matter whether you wanted to wear them as black boots, or as leopard skin colored boots, or even if you wanted to forgo the spats altogether and wear the boots as ankle boots, you had so many choices. The boots also went with many different clothing options and with the rugged exterior, you get to have footwear that will be able to handle the elements during the winter, and in Michigan, that is a necessity!

All-in-all I highly recommend these books to anyone that is looking for a versatile boot that can withstand the winter elements. This was a stylish boot that will make any young girl smile!

My Take on the Shoes
These were amazing shoes that were bright and vibrant and I loved the multiple straps that you can use to make the shoes both unique and fun. My daughter loved the shoes and is now wearing them every day around the house even though it is getting into the winter months. I know that this pair of shoes is going to be a huge hit for her to wear outside in the spring and summer months of 2013 and can't wait to see her playing in them. I have to say that I truly enjoyed how lightweight the shoes were as well as how easy that will be to keep clean. On top of that they come with a lightweight mesh bag where you can keep straps as well as tote the shoes around with you. I highly recommend these shoes to all!

My Take on the Shoe
This shoe was very high quality and stylish and my youngest daughter thought she was a ballerina when she was provided these shoes. You should have seen the Dance Recital that ensued when the shoes arrived! I have to say that I was impressed with these shoes and that not only do they look great, but they also are made well and with the fact that you want your children in shoes that will last (at least for some time), these shoes will definitely hold muster. Heelys ( @Heelysworldwide ) to Donate $15,000 Worth of Shoes to Buckner International

Heelys, Inc., (NASDAQ:HLYS) manufacturer of Heelys(R) skate shoes, announced that it will donate $15,000 worth of shoes to Buckner International, a global Christian ministry based in Dallas.

Heelys will provide Buckner International with 232 pairs of its MegaWatt model in a wide variety of sizes, for distribution to orphans, vulnerable children and families.

My Take on the Product

These sandles were not only comfortable, but that were truly unique. I know that any person who is a fan of racing would find these shoes to be very cool. I mean who else can say that they are wearing the shoes made from a past race car, I now can! What was best about these shoes (outside of how cool it was based on what I said previously) was the fact that they were so comfortable to wear. I have had other pairs of sandles in the past, but these were better than many of the other pairs!

STAR WARS Exclusive Footwear Now Available at Payless ShoeSource!

Hi. I'm visiting here from my blog over at The Wheelz Are Rolling. Dad of Divas recently emailed me and asked if I would be interested in reviewing a product for him. I thought it was a little odd considering the large number of amazing products he has been reviewing here at this site. But then he told me what the review was.

I was asked to review some boys tennis shoes from Payless Shoe Source. Makes sense considering he has two girls and I have two boys. The shoes were to promote the Star Wars The Clone Wars series. Now, I tend to be a bit overprotective of what the kids watch and the boys have not yet seen any of the Star Wars movies in their entirety. They have yet to see the Clone Wars series as well. But through friends, family, and media, the kids are very well educated in the characters from Star Wars and when I showed them online to see if they were interested, they were all for it.

My boys were very excited when the shoes arrived two days later. They received three pairs of shoes, one regular pair of light up runner shoes and two "high kicks" style. As a matter of fact, they got into the boxes and were already putting them on before I had even gotten up the next morning.

The regular pair for my five year old was an instant hit. They have straps rather than laces and he had them on and was bouncing around.

They each received a high kicks style as well. These definitely posed a problem. The interesting thing was that even though BOTH of them needed considerably help getting them on their feet, lacing and tying them, and then again needed help taking them off, they LOVE them. They love having shoes with familiar characters on them since they generally don't get these kind of items. They thought that they were the coolest kids in the world since the shoes were the high kicks style.

As much as my kids LOVE these shoes, I will be choosy about when they will be allowed to wear them. For one, the pictures on the side have weapons, which in general is not something that I would choose for my kids to wear, nor would I allow them to be worn to school. I wonder if schools would even allow these to be worn on their campus. The other thing I question is the sturdiness of the high sides of the shoes. I wonder if they wouldn't give that much support over a long day of running and playing.

The kids BEG to wear them every day. However, the amount of work it takes for me to get their feet into them and lace and tie them, even though my older son has been able to tie his own shoes for several years now, makes me less willing to let them wear them all the time. I suppose this would be different in winter when they have to wear shoes and socks all the time, rather than the ease of sandals at this time.

In summary, the shoes are a HUGE hit with the kids. They love the look and style of them. I don't see them as shoes for school, both because of the style and subject matter, but as a fun play shoe, I think a lot of moms (and their sons) would be thrilled with these shoes.

Birkenstock - Walking With Support & Style

I was asked by Birkenstock recently to try out their new Boston line of clogs.

I have never been a huge sandle wearer due to the fact that my feet tend to need more support (flat arches) and thus, most sandles tend to leave my ankles and legs hurting. So to be honest I did not know what to expect in trying out the Birkenstocks.

I also did not know a lot about the company prior to getting these shipped to me. I had heard a lot of hype in the past about their products and knew people that had them and raved about them, but I had never owned a pair myself. Some of the things I learned while getting ready for this review was that:

1. All their footware is crafted from cork (talk about green shoes!).
2. Their production lines are exclusively powered by solar energy.
3. 100% of the adhesives used within their shoes are earth friendly.
4. Their shoe boxes are made of 90% post consumer waste.
5. All of their shoes are completely repairable and renewable (which can increase the overall life of your footware)

When I received the clogs, I was impressed first by the exterior. The clogs were sleek and looked to be very comfortable. Yet, the proof is in the pudding as they say and thus as I tried them on I had to be cautious and as always give my honest opinion. As I put them on, the first thing in my mind was WOW, these have awesome support. The clogs themselves have built in arch supports that as as good as the hard inserts I use in my regular shoes. This is a nice plus for me, and I now think that I do have a pair of clogs that will not merely sit on a shelf, but instead will be ones that I can wear without fear of eventual pain.

I also checked out the rest of the Birkenstock product line and have to say that if given the chance, the next pair that I would love to try out would be a part of their shoe line, in particular the Devon, Dark Brown Leather Shoe. I like how this shoe (from the outside at least) looks like a shoe that I could even wear to work. So I would be given foot comfort as well as style, imagine that!

The clogs that received also came with information about the Movie stars that were wearing these as well. I am not the type of person who would be swayed to wear something just because someone else does (especially someone else that makes a ton more money than I do), but I can say that for the money that one would spend on a pair of Birkenstocks, the quality that you receive in return is worth every penny. I now can see why people talk highly of the Birkenstock brand and I will definitely consider other Birkenstock products in the future.
