Springfield Dolls Allow Your Daughters Imagination Take Flight!

 photo disclaimer2_zps8af35ac1.jpg

With holiday shopping just around the corner, parents will try to stretch the family budget to find a delightful present for their emerging fashionistas -- like the popular 18" doll. But when the trend is to spend $110 for a doll plus $24+ for one outfit, moms are searching for fun and more affordable alternatives. Say hello to Abby, Emma, Maria, Madison & Olivia -- The Springfield Collection® Dolls with the silky hair and sparkling eyes. Their reasonable price tag, vast collection of trendy accessories and online clubhouse, known as SF Style, make these dolls a fave with savvy girls and their smart moms.

Since celebrations happen year round, it's not just moms but birthday party invitees and favorite aunts who scoop up Springfield Collection pieces. You needn't tell the birthday girl or great-report-card earner that you spent only $25.97 and got the 2-piece pink/white Party Outfit ($10.99), navy Blazer with white piping and Dress ($10.99) plus smart Tortoiseshell Glasses ($3.99). Just wrap them up and wait for the hugs and thank yous.

Springfield Dolls are a division of Fibre-Craft®, the beloved company that's celebrating 60 years of making children's leisure products. As the Springfield Collection proudly explains on its website, www.store.SpringfieldDolls.com, "we know the importance of imagination and creative play in a young girl’s life. The line includes five gorgeous, quality-made dolls, each with her own unique personality and story." Selling at just $21.99 per doll -- and available at major retailers like AC Moore, Michael's and Jo-Ann Fabrics -- the blogosphere has been buzzing with rave reviews!

"These dolls are a great, inexpensive alternative to American Girl dolls," instructs blogger MyCrazySavigs.com to her readers. She explains, understandably, "when you have THREE girls, you need an alternative because I can’t afford $100 per doll…per kid."

Blogger TeachMe2Save.com wholeheartedly agrees. "Not only are the dolls affordable but so are the clothing and the accessories," she writes. "There’s a pretty nice selection of Springfield outfits, shoes and accessories available for all 5 dolls that are actually inspired by today’s fashions for girls. Each one of them are 18″ tall, have long brush-able hair, can be posed and their eyes close when you lay them down … apparently they need their beauty rest as well."

"What sets Springfield Dolls apart from another well-known doll," blogs a mom with ironically, a similar moniker, My Springfield Mommy.com, "is that they are fairly priced at less than $25 each and have clothing options around $10 as well as furniture sets. I also like that the price point is fair and reasonable. The dolls are built to withstand even the toughest of little girls and the outfits are easy to change -- even for a five year old.

Ideal for youngsters ages 4 years old and up, each of the five personalities have long eye lashes, lifelike eyes that open and close, a soft cloth body, smooth vinyl head and jointed arms and legs for hours of pretend play. Just strike a pose!

Springfield Collection makes it easy for youngsters to browse online and then create a wish list to pass on to mom or grandmom, (hint, hint), as Hanukkah and Christmas fast approach.

Fans of the dolls and their clothing line express their appreciation constantly on various social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube. My Take on the Dolls
As the father of girls you can bet that dolls are definitely a part of my world. My daughters have been playing with everything from stuffed animals to barbie's to now dolls like these. One of the things that I love about these dolls first are how well made they are. On top of this though is their price. At only $21.99 these dolls are a steal! Typically 18" dolls like these can range from $40+ so economically, these dolls are worth the price. I also liked the fact that if you go to the Springfield Girls website, you can also find outfits and accessories that are also reasonable in price too. You will not be paying $20+ for these, instead on average the price of an outfit is about $11 and even furniture can be found with the most expensive coming in at only about $40, which again is much less than other companies.

I did mention that they are well made. Your daughters will be able to pose the doll in the way that they wish to pose them and from there the only thing holding them back is their own imagination. My youngest daughter simply adores Abby, and she has now made Abby a part of the world of make believe that only a five-year old has. Last night she was having a tea party with Abby and some other dolls, and tonight who knows what is next!

If you are looking for a reasonably priced doll this holiday season, this is definitely a doll to look into!

Aurora Sea Sparkles Allow Imagination to Soar

All opinions expressed in this review are my own and not influenced in any way by the company.  Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider. Please refer to this site's Disclaimer  for more information. I have been compensated or given a product free of charge, but that does not impact my views or opinions.

About the Product
Toy and gift manufacturer Aurora World Inc. (http://www.auroragift.com) unveiled its all new Sea Sparkles collection today, the company announced. The long-awaited line geared for Aurora’s aquarium and museum accounts as well as all fans of the ocean features mermaid-themed dolls, Fancy Pals (pet carriers) and a host of sea creatures.

“We are so happy with the final outcome of this highly anticipated product line, and we have created a fantastic counter display that makes a great home for these elegant pieces,” says Michael Kessler, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Aurora. “We incorporated thoughts and suggestions from some of our top accounts and our team delivered what we think is a surefire hit.”

Aurora’s Sea Sparkle Collection includes four mermaid dolls (18”; SRP: $15 each) named Marinna, Morgana, Merissa and Merial. Kessler says, “With our four styles of Sea Sparkles Fancy Pals, you can take the mermaid dolls on the go.

The lavender or pink carriers are shaped like shells and conchs (8”, SRP: $15).” A variety of styles and sizes of dolphins, coral clown fish, green sea turtles, seahorses as well as a crab and octopus complete the line (sizes vary; small, medium and large SRP: $7, $13 and $17 respectively).

My Take on the Product
My daughters love dolls and on top of this they love mermaids! Put these both together and you get a combination that I knew that they would flock to and I was not disappointed. I was so happy to be able to try out these dolls and when I did receive them I was impressed as usual (as I have reviewed some other Aurora toys in the past) at the quality construction of the dolls themselves and the intricate work on each of the dolls as well.

The color alone just jumps out and shimmers in the light and my daughters both said how cool they thought that was. After getting them though the best part was watching the girls use their imagination to create their own worlds with the dolls.

If your children love mermaids and dolls, I highly recommend that you check out these dolls today!

My Take on the Doll
This was another great Winx doll, though quite different than the Believix dolls. I was quite impressed by the quality of construction as well as with the costume itself, and so was my daughter. I have to say that I did notice that the Believix Dolls tended to articulate a bit more and the outfits were a bit more grandiose, but the doll still was nice and my daughter had a blast playing with it and adding it to her overall collection and your child will as well!

Believix dolls include removable wings that can be used on all 3.75” Winx Club dolls. Collect all six Believix fairies: Bloom, Stella, Flora, Tecna, Musa and Aisha!

My Take on the Doll
My daughter loves Winx dolls and this doll was beautifully created with full mobility and wonderful color. What I love as a parent is watching my daughter using her imagination to make her doll have amazing adventures that only she can create. I completely encourage this creativity and she immerses herself into the play. I encourage these dolls to all as they open a whole new world to all who play with them!

Playmates Toys is giving birth to a new generation of baby dolls with the re-launch of the incredibly popular Waterbabies line; the water-filled dolls that offer a unique play experience for girls.  First introduced in 1991, Waterbabies quickly became the number one doll in America, and maintained that spot for four years. Each unique doll features patented water-filled technology to simulate the look and feel of a real baby, encouraging girls to comfort, soothe, nurture and bond with their baby doll.

The new Waterbabies line features new themes and fashions, giving a modern twist to these beloved baby dolls, while still embracing the classic caring and nurturing play pattern.

The 2012 Waterbabies collection from Playmates Toys includes:

·        Girls can share in the experience of dreaming to be with their baby doll, while learning how to care and nurture for their doll.
·        Six different themes are available, including a Ballerina, Soccer Player, Cheerleader, Fairy, Princess and Fabulous.

My Take on the Doll
My girls are girly girls and love to play with dolls, dressing them up, having tea with them, and other fun activities. It usually seems that one doll or another accompany us wherever we go. Thus, they are always looking at dolls that are in the stores, and recently we were at the store and found these and the girls thought they were amazing. I did not tell them that we would be receiving one to try out, so when we did receive one they were extremely ecstatic. The doll itself is very realistic. With soft skin you get to claim that you are holding a baby instead of a doll. What also was neat about this doll line was the fact that they have come up with a number of themes that match well with the interests of many types of girls and with a different assortment of dolls you get the opportunity to find a doll that matches the type that you would like in your home. The dolls are well constructed and have provided many hours of fun in my own home and I'm sure if you have girls like I do you will find similar excitement for the dolls too.

TollyTots My First Disney Princess - My Birthday Party Baby Cinderella

About the Product
The Tollytots My First Disney Princess lets you have a play date with royalty! Choose from so many different Disney Princesses. Sweet baby Cinderella loves to laugh and play with you.

Suggested: $24.99

Find out more on their website or on facebook!

My Take on the Product
My daughter loves princesses and being younger, having Barbie Dolls may be a bit more complex than she or I want now. I was excited to hear about Tollytots Disney Princess line for pre-school age kids. These dolls are well constructed and they are large enough to be able to be held and my daughter sees the doll as one that is so much more realistic (which she loves)! The Cinderella doll that my daughter got to try was perfect as it was a birthday party doll and when we gave this to her, she had just had a birthday, so it was perfect timing. Right away I could tell that this doll was going to be a favorite, as she took it up to her room and she started to have a party with this doll and her other stuffed animals. This doll also comes with some fun birthday surprises including a special present and gift for your doll!

All-in-all if you have a child over the age of two that loves Disney Princesses, you will l want to have this doll for your own daughter's collection.
