Book Review - Professor Tuesday's Awesome Adventures in History: Book Two

About the Book
Returning safely from their adventures through time to learn about Chief Pontiac’s rebellion (Book One), several members of Miss Pepper’s class again need Professor Tuesday’s help with their studies of Michigan history.

In Book Two of the Professor Tuesday’s Awesome Adventures in History series, readers will travel with several of Miss Pepper’s students and Professor Tuesday as they dodge problems and overcome difficulties while learning firsthand how immigrants struggled to live and work in Michigan. Through it all, they discover that although people have many differences, they are all very much the same.

Jeffery L. Schatzer is Professor Tuesday. As an author, he is noted for creating unique characters that inspire learning and turn reading into a fun-filled adventure. An avid student of Michigan and Midwest history, Jeffery creates historical fiction that brings the past to life through characters that are quirky and entertaining.

My Take on the Book
My father's family migrated to Michigan back in the 1800s and I've been interested in their reasons as well as the reasons of other emigrants to the State for some time now. In this book young readers are asking similar questions to Prof. Tuesday. Just like in the first book of this book allows the reader to be able to have an adventure along with the class, while at the same time, the author educates the reader on some of the trials and tribulations that emigrants had to go through as they were transitioning and changing their lives to a new State and way of life. This book, and the entire series of books would be perfect for classroom that is studying Michigan history. The author makes studying Michigan history fun, and allows the reader to be able to experience somewhat first-hand what was happening in the time of history that the book is written. I highly encourage this book as well as the other books in the series to one and all.
