My Take on the Book
Cynthia Drew wrote a delightful rhyming tale about missing things. The five animal friends each lose something of value to them and thus Porter, the fox, helps explain how to locate missing things. Porter in turn needs their assistance when he lost his glasses. He realizes at the end of the story how important friends are and that is the deeper message of the story.
Bill La Rocque's illustrations are colorful and detailed . Your child will enjoy the expressions on t he animals' faces and laugh when they see the page with the washing machine eating a sock.
Have fun with this book!
