Wayfare Whole Grain Products Make Taking Care of a Healthy Heart Tasty

Approximately 42 million women in America struggle with some form of heart disease1. As February is National Heart Health month and March is National Nutrition month, now is the perfect time to start to add whole-grains to any diet with WayFare (www.wayfarefoods.com). WayFare creates whole-grain oat based, non-dairy cheeses, sour creams, and puddings in their “We Can’t Say It’s” line, which is vegan, non-GMO, and gluten-free.

Whole-grains, such as those in WayFare’s products, keep your heart healthy by helping regulate blood pressure2. Studies have shown that eating 3 serving of whole-grains every day (48gs), decreases likelihood of heart disease, stroke as well as decreases cholesterol, weight and high blood pressure (the three main factors in heart attacks) 3. It’s easy to swap out your usual spreads and dips for a serving of WayFare’s “We Can’t Say It’s Cheese” spreads and dips which come in Cheddar, Hickory-Smoked Cheddar, and Mexi Cheddar.

WayFare’s spreads and dips are thick and creamy with natural flavors, making them great option for vegans, those with food allergies, or those wishing to simply improve their diet. Conventional dairy-based spreads and dips are full of cholesterol, saturated fat and trans-fat, which in excess can lead to atherosclerosis and other heart complications1. Switching to WayFare allows you to still enjoy a dip or spread with your veggies, pita or chips while helping, rather than hurting, your health. Try this delicious recipe for Vegan Stuffed-Peppers, delicious as a nutritious weekday meal or easy appetizer.

My Take on the Products
As a family that does have someone in it with a dairy allergy, it is always great to find a new company that is not offering so much more when it comes with Dairy Free. This company offers so much that someone with a dairy allergy could never eat. I was impressed not only with the variety, but also with the taste and consistency of the products as they were not runny in any sense and I found myself wanting to try more and more of the samples, but I knew that I should wait. I have to say that for me, one of my favorites was the Hickory Cheddar spread.

Anyway, these products were great and ones that I would highly recommend to all!
