Celebrate Brazil’s Marvelous City with this foldout tour of Rio de Janeiro. Explore the massive statue of Christ the Redeemer, scenic Sugarloaf Mountain, and the historic Municipal Theater. Stop by the world-famous Carnival in the Sambodromo and much more in this exploration of the city that will play host to the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Summer Games.

My Take on the Book
Trisha Krauss has written a nonfiction accordion 3-D about the beautiful sights of Rio De Janerio. Children and adults will enjoy reading this story and learning about this famous city.

You will see the huge statue of CHRIST THE REDEEMER and learn that is was built with donations from 1926-1931.

One of the world's greatest tropical gardens is at the base of Corcovado Mountain and covers 340 acres.

One more to mention from many not mentioned, is the IMPERIAL PALACE which was home to King John VI of Portugal in 1808. He was escaping Napoleon's visit. After reading this book , you will want to visit Rio De Janeiro.
