Book Review: The Day I Fell Into A Fairy Tale

The Day I Fell Into A Fairy Tale

About the Book
In The Day I fell Into a Fairy Tale, Lana and her brother Harrison used to love stories and make-believe games, but that was until Harrison decides he’s too grown-up to play. Now, Lana is too lonely to find the magic in storytelling until she discovers a magical portal in their town’s new supermarket that leads her right into a fairy tale land. In this new world, things aren’t happy-ever-after though, and the characters need Lana’s help to defeat an evil witch, but she’ll also need the help of her brother to save the day.

My Take on the Book

The Day I Fell into a Fairy Tale is an enchanting adventure that puts a unique spin on classic fairy tales, perfect for young readers. Ben Miller’s storytelling effortlessly transports readers into a magical world where familiar stories take on a darker, more mysterious edge. Lana and her brother, Harrison, find themselves navigating a land filled with twists on the tales we all grew up with, offering a fresh take that captivates kids and adults alike.

The idea of entering a fairy tale world through candy barrels is as whimsical as it is imaginative, and Miller’s writing has a cinematic feel that brings this vivid world to life. While the book is written for a younger audience, its engaging language and clever plot twists will appeal to readers from about 7 to 11 years old.

With its mix of adventure, humor, and heartfelt sibling dynamics, this is a delightful read that sparks the imagination and keeps readers hooked until the very end.
